    I think it's safe to say Valenzuela will be starting tomorrow. They pretty much have to option Little at this point as well. I'm guessing they'd call up Mantiply.

    I don't know why they didn't bat Gimenez 2nd and Schneider 8th. Gimenez would have gotten an extra bat against a righty and Schneider against a lefty.

    We have an off-day on Friday, so you have to think a reliever comes up and we move to a 4 man rotation. The spot wouldn't be needed again until the 8th. If you make that a pen day, you could probably get by until the 18th which should be enough time to get Yesavage or Bieber back.

    It's funny. 30 years ago pulling your pitcher early on opening weekend meant pulling him at 100 pitches. Nowadays managers seem to get ansy in the middle of the season when the starting pitcher gets over 80.
