  1. I don't think Springer staying at DH has anything to do with the knee. I think he's got some other injury (likely in the arm) and they don't want him having to throw the ball.
  2. I don't think Springer has been healthy since well before getting hit on the knee. I'm not sure what the issue is, but there's been many times down the stretch where it would have made more sense for him to be in the field and he has barely played there. Otherwise Bo at DH and Springer in RF would feel like a no-brainer yet it seems like it's not even being considered.
  3. I'm a little surprised they're not keeping Yesavage away from Dodger stadium assuming he would get a game 5, but I guess it kind of makes sense. They could run a bullpen day also and bump him to a game 6 with Gausman for a game 7 if the relievers are rested enough.
  4. This is the part of the lineup you want to bring him in for if you're going to do it at all.
  5. Vladdy absolutely demolished that line drive. 113.1 mph.
  6. Yes, probably IKF. I don't think he'll take Gimenez out. I suspect Loperfido may be the one pinch hitting.
  7. I don't really like this move. I think you run Dominguez out another inning and piece it together after that. I'm not convinced Gausman who isn't used to relieving is a better option than Fisher and Fluharty.
  8. Both teams have hit 5 balls 100+ mph. The difference in the game is that they elevated 2 of them.
  9. Kirby is doing a great job of keeping the ball out of the middle of the plate.
  10. This. He made a handful of starts coming off TJS before the playoffs. We haven't seen elite Bieber yet. His command isn't all the way back.
  11. This is probably the right move. I assume the plan is to give him this out and next inning.
  12. They won't want to bring him in during an inning. I'm sure they want Varland for the heart of the order next inning (if needed).
  13. He just hit a 109.6 mph line drive with an expected xBA of .700
  14. The batted ball luck is definitely not favouring us so far.
  15. It's been interesting hearing the umps talk during the game. I wish they did that (and the ump cam) during the regular season.
  16. Yeah, I don't think he throws him out anyway. Clearly misjudged it though.
  17. He wasn't running overly well, but better than I expected. If we advance, he should be mostly recovered for the WS.
  18. No, he was warming up. I assume he'll be the closer tomorrow if needed. I'm fine with it. Roll with the pitcher who is feeling good rather than guessing at what you may get.
