  1. Really not a fan of this trade, but I guess we'll see how things actually shake out. I'm guessing this has more to do with adding some pop off the bench.
  2. More like the Japanese Adam Dunn. He'll be fun to watch though!
  3. Maybe have a products section for the website with some Amazon affiliate links (to Amazon Canada obviously). I'm sure lots of people would be more than happy to click on an affiliate link before making Amazon purchases to help support the site.
  4. I know that, but like I said he's on an expiring contract and they have no hope of competing this year.
  5. IMO Brandon Lowe would be a good target. Not sure what they'd want for him since they did give up a bit to get him. The Pirates have no chance of competing this year and he's on an expiring contract.
  6. I don't think it's that big a deal. Schneider is perfectly capable. In an emergency situation, you have Jimenez and Loperfido on the farm. Barger played games at SS as late as last year prior to coming up, so he might even be an option at 2nd. It certainly wouldn't be a bad idea for the Jays to give Barger and Loperfido some reps there in the spring just in case, but we have potential depth to get through multiple injuries. If we're going to upgrade, it has to be a clear upgrade with the bat, not a marginal one.
  7. Is it an upgrade? Schneider put up almost the same WAR when scaled to playing time.
  8. I really hate Bellinger's splits last year. It could be a case of there being little choice though. He did hit well at RC in a limited sample size, fwiw.
  9. If Clement puts up a 115 wRC+ he might surpass 5 WAR.
  10. I can't see Bellinger going anywhere except New York, but hopefully we can make them pay up for him. The fit is just too good for both of them. Suarez is interesting and should probably be our target. I could see an outside chance of maybe something like Luis Robert Jr for Lucas and Berrios. IMO that makes some sense for both teams.
  11. Doesn't he have more trouble moving to his left than his right?
  12. Apparently he gets 5M if he opts out too. Depending on the breakdown, he may have just gotten 47M for one year.
  13. The deal we gave Vladdy is looking better and better all the time.
  14. I'm not even mad about not getting him. That contract is completely insane. Sign Bo, and we've probably improved on par with the Dodgers anyway. Dodgers: Diaz + Tucker Jays: Cease, Ponce, Rogers, Okamoto
  15. Does it count as anything?
  16. What the hell do you guys do, browse twitter to try to find any random person you can trying to sound smart by guessing?
  17. Hard to complain about minor league signings, but I don't think any more bullpen moves for the major league club is really necessary. Little and Fluharty should be perfectly capable of handling it. In the second half of the year, I would assume we'll see Tiedemann come up if needed since they'll likely want to manage his innings. Javen Coleman could be a wildcard also.
  18. This may not be popular, but I don't think we need to improve the pen any further. It would be nice if Little could learn how to hit the broad side of a barn again, but it's really a group that can face anyone at any time.
  19. I don't think the Jays will offer him a higher AAV than Vladdy (after deferral adjustment). If that's straight up, I can't see them doing more than 10/$350.
  20. There is no world where I would take Bellinger over Tucker or Bo at even money. Bellinger is NOT in the same class. Don't get me wrong, he's a very good player, just a tier below. The difference between 2024 Bellinger and 2025 Bellinger is basically Yankee Stadium.
  21. A healthy Santander would be equivalent to signing a big bat. All the same, I really want to see us finish this off with Bo or Tucker.
  22. That makes a LOT more sense.
  23. I wonder if any of that money for Bregman is deferred, because that seems a bit high to me.
  24. Clement probably starts at SS against lefties from time to time as well.
