I'm not big on deception guys long term (same reason I'm not buying in on Tony Cingrani just yet) but if the Redmond K-Rates stay up this high you have no choice but to give him a Spring chance to compete for the 5th starter. I believe he has one more option so if he doesn't break with the team you get to keep him around in Buffalo.

TdA has a 21% BB rate over 140 PA's this season (over 4 levels). Can he get enough PA's in September to catch JPA in walks (currently 16 to 4).

Maybe should have clarified. Was considered until about his 3rd year in the bigs a good defensive SS. 2005 he was considered best Defensive player in the Eastern and PCL. Wasn't until around 2008 everything started to look poor.

Will be interesting to see just how Yuniesky his defense is. Betancourt has always been considered a great defensive player who doesn't show in the metrics. Hech is starting the same way at this point.

My Cy Young Predictor Max Scherzer DET 17-1 end voting. I really don't think it's the year for voters to get all saber friendly. Scherzer is far from a bad candidate (barring a September blow up) and he has all the casual fan friendly numbers (won-loss, 2nd in K's, on winning team). In the NL we could see some typically bad BBWAA voting, should be fun. Lots of ball left though.

Most question if the bat is ever going to be enough for him to be an everyday-type catcher. Defensively, Jimenez can get a little lackadaisical at times, but once his arm is completely healthy, he has a rocket behind the plate. The swing is contact-oriented. Going forward, Jimenez is going to force the Blue Jays hand if he keeps putting up positive performances, and should get a chance to contribute in the big leagues in 2014.

lets not get Lind'd by a small sample size of good patient AB's. He's not going to keep a 12% K-Rate like he has the past month, however I'd like to think he has the ability to get close to the 9% BB rate. if he goes back to swinging at everything next month we seriously need an overhaul of coaching staff's as it was so obvious (beyond the numbers) that Lind was a better hitter back in May, then suddenly his approach changed. Lawrie is a different looking hitter out there right now, different than he was 2 years ago even. If he reverts it might be my final straw with this team (which doesn't mean anything as I'll still watch every game I can)

I like trading with Gibbers and Dinger. Gibbers comes to you with an offer and doesn't change it much he'll say something like "would you do this for this". Dinger doesn't BS when dealing he'll say I want this guy (I've mostly dealt in picks with him admittedly). I find this league easier to make deals in than FC (where I almost never propose deals) mostly cause I have an idea of who likes who in this pool. I know not to offer BTS a big xFIP guy and I know certain guys aren't going to overvalue picks. Jaysblue sometimes is difficult and other times he comes with a deal very close and it just takes some tweaking to get the deal done. He does things by text with me which works sometimes and others it doesn't. I don't like to make deals when I'm away from my computer (Santos got Mujica from me this way and I've stopped dealing with him because of it.
