  1. When people are a victim of a practical joke they often start blaming everyone in the world, so it's understandable here...you don't want to believe that we were victims of a sick practical joke when we were led to believe that AA really is this saber-friendly, value seeking ninja. While your searching for a alternate answer is surprisingly slow (almost Stoeten'esk) it is understandable. Think of AA a lot like Inspector Gadget, he lucked his way through his job, for the first while, however AA doesn't have dog watching over him and a genius niece bailing him out of his trouble with her computer knowledge...AA has a lamb and a mother who's about to cook it for him. In other words, the guy just isn't a good GM and he's surrounded by people that know less than he does.
  2. actually I banned him for starting a thread about a tweet that had been posted (by me) in two other threads, that and I was drunk. I like his schtick but he annoys a lot of guys here. We'll talk about it on the mods forum and decide if he'll be back.
  3. McCann/Navarro straight platoon. Both will be overpaid, neither can run, are on the downside defensively but for the fans to discuss a 1.000 OPS catching platoon makes it both AA and the fans dreams (with the exception of the JPA fans) and sure to lead to a huge letdown. Seriously though with AA's love of switch hitters and guys coming off of career years I bet he's linked to Navarro at some point in the off season.
  4. I think this was a guy that Kirk had some off field info on. He could have been a DH or 1B platoon against lefties at any point in his career, he never really had injury issues, so their was something else going on.
  5. Snider with a 9th inning pinch hit off of Canadian hero Jim Henderson
  6. I had a few drinks and got annoyed by NJH's reported post messages. I considered banning him too
  7. He was one in his 2012 injury riddled season. He's at 11 DRS this year. His career numbers are: 2008 - 10 2009 - 19 2010 - 20 2011 - 22 2012 -1 2013 - 11
  8. wish they'd add milb.tv for these games.
  9. it wouldn't waste an option year (he has to spend 20 days in the minors after being added to the 40 man) it allows them to start him in the minors without wasting an option though.
  10. I'll read your site when I get a chance, I'd say that we have a 2014 draft thread already but I'll allow the thread to stay as I love draft talk.
  11. This Edwin guy can hit...I think we should make a spot for him next year.
  12. He's pretty hated by his own team too
  13. Stroman confirmed on twitter that he's going home after tomorrow's finale.
  14. every pitcher should approach the season this way conditioning wise.
  15. Says the guy who wrote... Hope you are enjoying Goins playing well.
  16. Doubt I have enough left to be in play here. I'd offer you Springer, Seager and Wood
  17. Paper move to get an extra bat or reliever to Bluefield probably.
  18. Sure anyone can find a SS or 2B that did it as they handle so many more balls than 3B's...surely no elite 3B has ever done it, oh wait. http://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/LAN/LAN199905210.shtml http://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/OAK/OAK200506300.shtml
  19. Does this game work for his arbitrary number? http://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/CHN/CHN198904290.shtml How about this one? http://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/MON/MON200209130.shtml
  20. Yep http://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/CLE/CLE199404160.shtml
  21. that's just a handjob...although Henke comes in to finish.
  22. I like GB machines but can't say I've ever seen him pitch since one outing with the Junior National team. I like the data the OP posted though. Hopefully he's with Lansing next year so I can see him pitch. It's not like he doesn't have okay velocity to go with those numbers. He's certainly interesting.
  23. There is no plagiarism here NJH has confirmed that he knows the original poster
  24. Not an elite defender but does anyone remember this game? One of the greatest good to bad to good performances ever. http://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/SFN/SFN198609140.shtml Take a look at the 4th inning for the Braves and then Brenly's AB's.
