    Like I said MLB has an outside source to approve use. About 50% are refused.

    Therapeutic Use Exemption. Many are rejected even with medical prescriptions. I'm not sure how minor leaguers submit them but in the majors they have to reapply every year.

    They still need an approved TUE as well.

    It's on the WADA list because of what it does for weight loss. Wrestlers and boxers have taken it for very quick and artificial water weight loss. I see Orgfiller has added some other information as well. But overall this is a drug suspension that will be easily forgotten much like Stroman's was.

    It just has so many meanings...but being in Colorado and having a snack as a logo gives off a Stoner Vibe. I just love the name and look. It's fun, something baseball lacks at times.

    Supposedly AA has asked several times if Trout could be moved. It's a 12UP article and I've never heard of them but I can't imagine what those calls would sound like

    Makes no sense to me when they are still expected to lose a player or two in the Rule 5.

    I just don't see them making this deal if they don't think he can get through (like when they added Forrest Wall, they did it because they didn't feel they needed to add him...teams seem to know this stuff about other teams). Or there is a lot of wheeling and dealing going on this is to protect another player they don't want to lose. I think it's a bad looking deal regardless but having to add him to the 40 would make it that much worse (unless they truly believe he's a bullpen star and there were many teams pursuing him)

    How does it not fix it? Thornton is not on the 40 man. To be clear I'm talking about Diaz's actual trade value. There may be something there we don't know. He's put up 4.5 fWAR in 3 partial seasons and he's been trade for 2 non prospects. Just trying to make sense of it. I find it funny how not one person has said "this must mean that they think Tulo will be healthy"

    Everyone should remember that we traded JB Woodman for Diaz. Maybe he's not as valuable in trade as we think.

    I loved him at UNC. After his Freshman year I thought he would be the "Next one"...he was not! He's obviously a guy that they think they can get through the rule 5 and it will free up a roster spot until April and Tulo can take his rightful spot on the 60 day. Says something as well about what they think of Lourdes.

    San Diego pursuing Thor and Mets open to talk. What would you give up for him? So little info on Van Wagenen and what type of GM he is. Padres have are deep in prospects so I can see them trying to put together a package of top 150 guys (probably arms). What would you be comfortable moving from the Jays for 3 years (we'll say $30M in Arb) of Thor?

    Remember when J4L quit all leagues after the 19 year old dumped him (tough to forget when I keep reminding everyone). Where would he be today if he didn't find P2F? He will be tough to replace...not as a manager but as contributor.

    The positive is that Baseball Prospectus has been bought by the Senior writers (yes Sayre too) and is going to re-tool itself. Here is their announcement from earlier this week.

    I actually just sent P2F a PM to suggest that you guys discuss him and try and get a sound bite that you can send to him. Him liking my tweet got a lot of activity for me (89 likes and a bunch of new followers). Even better would be to ask him to come on to the show.
