  1. does that include plugging guys?
  2. He insisted his acct here be deleted. Email him for sure.
  3. You say Patreon, Patroon, and Patron all on the same page (I can buy Patreon and Patron...but Patroon just sounds insulting). I'm not sponsoring the TRSPC if there are going to be errors.
  4. sure if you love mosquito bites and hockey
  5. Stubby got his interview with the Jays today
  6. Brodie Van Wagenen seriously interviewed for the Head of Baseball Operations. Fred Wilpon just loves to be swindled over and over again.
  7. BTS do you want this bad pun ban or should I take it?
  8. But Jake Diekman won the Richard Durrett Hardest Working Man award. Just another sham award according to Molly.
  9. If Rocco is making his decision based on me, he's not the right guy for the job.
  10. there were two links. One about why to move to Toronto.
  11. Rocco where would you rather live...Minnesota or Toronto?
  12. Going to 6-5 my way through the season.
  13. Red Sox in 5, make it a 3 year run of the best team winning.
  14. your busts are phenomenally bad.

    Nerds welcome to basketball. https://www.theringer.com/nba/2018/10/19/17999336/los-angeles-clippers-second-spectrum-courtvision-steve-ballmer
  16. I was talking with some strangers in Vegas and I said that I felt Vladdy would have a better bat than Trout. It might have been the fact that I had been drinking for 12 hours already at the time but saying it out loud left an odd taste in my mouth. I think there is potential for him to put up some monster wRC+ numbers, but 172 over 6 full seasons averaging over 600 PA's seems less likely. Although Pujols did it (or in around there).
  17. I don't think you want to change the way a game is played. Remember that MLB is actually the rulebook owner for the entire sport of baseball (which is partially why the slide rules were a good and necessary thing) and the mandate is to improve baseball across the world. New ways of having baserunners and/or outs seems too extreme and confusing. I do think that MLB will have to come up with ways to punish offenders soon as the shot clock will eventually become a thing.
  18. I deserve partial marks for having Kevin Smith (also was in my top 10 midseason last year) and Lourdes. Jansen was to keep the jinx going (he was also my number 4 prospect). Not ready to give in on Pardinho yet.
  19. finally got around to listening. Solid show, I like the talking through the closing song to bring it out. I'd like to add on to Andrew's suggestion of throwing a flag to challenge a play. But add in a football type penalty for a missed flag. Like say it counts as a mound visit, which might make you have to change your pitcher.
  20. This is why you don't let recency bias effect decisions. Good pitchers are good pitchers. We should be enjoying one of the best teams of our generation though. Regardless where they play out of. Still hoping that Dumbrowski keeps control though as that is the way this team will be torn down.
  21. He is a finalist from latest reports. He's a Stanford grad with head coaching experience (albeit not overly successful) with Pacific University. I hate that he's tied to the championship teams as it keeps the media beating that old drum, but he was smart enough to use PED's and didn't even lie about it after. Hate his **** wife though, and he named his kid Jed...so he's out in my books. I think he's a candidate for the Angels job too. I know he talked about the "written portion of the interview" which I thought was hilarious that the Angels have a written portion.
  22. We could only have Vladdy and no one else and I wouldn't put the Braves ahead of us. They have all arms. I don't mind Riley (but Brett Lawrie'esk) but Pache is trash with the bat, Waters is too aggressive with everything he does. Only thing I say about the Braves is that they can turn their Pen troubles around right now by moving a few guys to the pen and promote them right away.
  23. are you suffering from Grant's Disease here? Someone today posted the video of the Joe West / Andre Dawson incident from 1991. Got me to thinking how old is he...turns out it's 65. I don't honestly believe he got the call wrong, but is 65 too old for being an umpire. I realize that they are unionized so you can't just throw an age to force retirement but there must be tests they can't pass anymore. I had a family physician who worked to 70 and I had to look for a new one as I couldn't trust him anymore. I'm 47 and I don't trust my eyes.
  24. That's a mistake by Kemp...but still I don't mind a player being aggressive when that is completely the players M.O.
