A press conference will be held tonight at Kauffman Stadium prior to the game to address this move and what it means for the Kansas City Royals organization.

If Casey had a 6.43 ERA through his seven innings with the same peripherals I don't think you'd be singing the same tune. That's what I'm saying. Similarly, what Santos has done this year shouldn't sway you in either direction. He's gotten amazingly unlucky. 2011-13 Janssen is probably better than what Santos is though, I'll add that. If Janssen still is that guy than I give him the edge.

You're overreacting to Janssen's 0.00 ERA this season. He hasn't actually been so spectacular. It's only a matter of time before he turns into a pumpkin. Santos has a 14.9% SwStr% this season and a career rate of 13.3%. That's going to make him more successful than Janssen over the long haul.

Let him. CJ can't hold a candle to Santos (when both are healthy).
