TheRealMin actually won the offensive power rankings title last year (Dinger second), and the overall. Dinger does have an elite staff this year but it wasn't quite so last year (finished fifth in pitching).

More likely he wasn't commanding the fastball early in the game so took a big off. Or it's just randomness. I wouldn't be worried.

My philosophy is that if you trade enough prospects, it evens out. I've also dealt dozens of other guys (Davidson, Singleton, Soler, Gray a second time, etc.) through multi-team trades and short-term acquisitions. You have to trust the process.

I have two midterms the week after, it's going to be hard to study with the draft on A lot of my research will probably happen in the days following. I do keep an updated list of guys I hear about though. It has ~20 names atm.

I like this for Silvergun but it's a good return for SpeedyGose. Much better than recent other prospect packages we've seen. Impact talent.

Buchholz rate on the season (3.99 / 9 IP) is tolerable though. He's had bad stretches of control in the past too before rebounding. It could be that he's prone to losing his release point for long amounts of time. Romero's issues are supposedly mental in nature.

Happ hasn't pitched well. The defense has defended well and the LOB% Luck Dragon has breathed fire well.

Yes, Rasmus was a very good player last year, but he was also an abysmal player in 2011 and 2012. Last year isn't who he is: the .356 BABIP is 59 points above his career norm. His career HR/FB is 12.8%, that's not 'great power.' He has good power and can be a good player if he gets lucky with BABIP. BJ Upton was an above-average player in each of the six seasons prior to free agency. Colby is not that guy. Colby turns 28 in a few months. He's the past the point where you can expect him to get better. Also, "ton of power for the CF position" doesn't really mean anything. He has a track record of providing a certain amount of value to a baseball team and that is what teams will care about.

lol no, was just expressing that my love for him existed then and it still does now. -- For all everyone has talked about Dinger's ability to steal everyone's players, CatsAss has easily been the best trader in the league so far IMO.

Yeah the Darvish trade didn't work out as hoped. At the time I had Fielder slightly ahead of Darvish, so it made sense. And I love(d) Rizzo.
