lol Janssen actually has a perfect 8 for 8 mark with six hits and zero runs on the season with a 0.78 WHIP, and just over a half K per inning. Zero runs and one hit in his last two innings.
I don't really know how they could get so much stuff wrong.
ZiPS think they're very similar, Gallardo only has a 6.7% better xFIP-, Orioles have a slightly better offense. That it's in Milwaukee may edge it slightly their way I suppose.
Record for May, yep. 18 is also the AL Record for home runs in a month, set in August 1937 by Rudy York.
Sosa has the MLB record for any month with 20, set in June 1998.
Miller's peripherals have been bad, I definitely think the Yankees have the upper hand. The other two are toss ups.
No, our pick was probably worse all things considered. Seattle didn't sign Jeff Clement to a $30M extension.
I really really like Seitzer. He's amazing.
Yesterday Buck said that Seitzer has designed a regimented BP that each hitter follows. Previously they just trying to crank bombs.
I see the tiers as 1-3, 4-12, 13-30, 31-65, 66-100, 101-120. Yeah I guess we're not. You're looking to extract extra value and I'm looking for lateral value moves.
Now that there's a reason to care about what happens to every other team in the AL, we need a dedicated thread to discuss their games! (Around Baseball is more for news and has gotten as saturated as GDTs recently)
--------------------------------
Today's relevant schedule (most to least relevant):
1. New York at St. Louis (8:15 pm)
2. Baltimore at Milwaukee (8:10 pm)
3. Atlanta at Boston (7:05 pm)
4. Los Angeles at Seattle (10:10 pm)
5. Texas at Minnesota (8:10 pm)
6. Cleveland at Chicago (8:10 pm)
7. Houston at Kansas City (2:10 pm)
--------------------------------
The Brewers have been red hot too! Same record. We'll get plenty of buzz if it keeps up; every year there's a surprise team that makes a run and gets a zillion articles written about them. There's a good chance we become that.

What do you think about having a Scoreboard Watching Thread that we can use for following other AL teams for the rest of the season? Around Baseball may be getting a little saturated.
YoGa has always been an okay hitter. You should never put the winning run on base even if a pitcher is on deck.
This was a very good day for the Blue Jays.
We have the best offense in baseball. No pitcher is enough to "not like our chances!" EE or Bautista can go deep against anyone, Reyes can use his speed to get on and manufacture a run, Melky can hit anything right now, etc. I'm excited to see what they can do.
