I'd say it regardless but okay. Making the semi-finals is obviously a better position than losing in the first round and winning the division since you still have a shot at the title, but I do think that winning the division validates a season. Silvergun had a great year!

Silvergun, you'll always have the divisional title. That's more important than making the semi-finals IMO.

Yep; that was a very strange story. Apparently he had never actually met that child. He only meets with this beaten child occasionally, which makes me skeptical of the "it's just normal father-son discipline" idea. The mom lets the kid visit Peterson, and he comes back beaten and emotionally distressed. Not sure what kind of relationship AP thinks he's building with this kid.

Is the NFL supposed to blacklist every player who has a run-in with the law? There has to be a line draw somewhere -- why does the NFL need to be the most morally-upstanding organization in our society? I'm okay with Peterson being back. Maybe if he gets convicted of something tack on an official suspension.

Don't be too disheartened Dinger, you still had a great team and will be remembered. People still remember fondly the 2001 Mariners. I don't think the Fernandez trade will cost you much long-term. I was a nervous wreck yesterday lol, refreshing the matchup and the MLB scoreboard every couple minutes. At 5 pm I thought I was done; none of my hitters had done anything in days. But Kemp came through (and McCann too). Congrats to NJH on a great season -- I know he'll improve in the offseason and make the Turkey Bacon Club tough again in 2015. Kinda annoying that Lackey and House are having their starts skipped; I was counting on them this week. May have to do some streaming to counter-act BTS's three two-starts. I need one of his guys to get lit tonight.

I just rooted against Bryan Shaw, one of my own players, in the hopes that he'd blow Salazar's win (which he did). Felt weird.

IMO this doesn't need to be a discussion on the merits of corporal punishment. Giving a four year old visible cuts and bruises all over his body is excessive and unnecessary.

NJH will have to pick up Yangervis Solarte or something. At least Davis will be NA-eligible.

I feel kinda bad for him since the media and fans will make too big of a deal about this. Amphetamines are rightfully not allowed, but they're not steroids.

I'm not really a believer in tying TJS to specific outings and their pitch counts. Pitchers get hurt. His elbow was probably always going to break.

Martin deserves a lot more hype entering his free agency. He's on his way to a 5-win season and was worth over 4 last year, not including framing (which he's excellent at). A true impact player.

I know what you mean. I'm young and do stupid stuff from time to time. But beating your fiancee unconscious is more than just a bad moment of judgement IMO.
