  1. Two certain top 100 prospects (both top 60 IMO) and a first-rounder. It's fair value. Peraza was almost called up recently with Andrelton out! Should see action next year.
  2. Chase Headley's already over 1 WAR for the Yankees lol. Who needs him? We have Danny Valencia!
  3. Don't let facts get in the way of a good narrative.
  4. Francisco started every game of the past week except for yesterday. He plays pretty much every game. And I'm okay with Gibby changing it up every so often to give a day off.
  5. Not going to be near a computer next week (my one week of summer vacation), so I won't be very responsive to trade talk. Back on the 25th.
  6. A win is a win is a win... winning is a product of maximizing your run differential, which you do by piling up WAR. A 3-win pitcher is equally as productive as a 3-win hitter. Regarding the changes to the run environment, a rising tide lifts all boats. Every team finds it "easier" to find pitchers who produce historically-decent unadjusted numbers.
  7. Idk, he's way over the 97th percentile (the top rung in standard charts) height and weight for a twelve-year-old. Most people I knew at 12 (Grade 6) weren't pushing six feet.
  8. Cash Money lol. That's great. He probably goes by his middle name or something. Blake is pretty big for a twelve year old too: 5'10, 161.
  9. 23 strikeout in 11.2 triple-A innings... that is not normal. Lots of swinging strikes too going through the pitch-by-pitch. Daniel Norris does NOT mess around.
  10. Daniel Norris is f***ed. Good God. I'm never seen a Jays prospect rocket through the Minors like this. We are witnessing something special, folks.
  11. I like Yelich and think he's a guy you can build around and all that, but he doesn't have the explosive upside of CarGo. Also, Yelich is an extreme ground ball hitter (63.3% career) so he'll need to make serious changes to his swing and approach to hit for good power.
  12. I believe you're thinking of Farrell and Sam Dyson, who barely strikes anyone out and was DFA'd the winter following his cup of coffee to make room for Mark DeRosa. Stilson has always had shoulder questions and many people opined that the Blue Jays should rush him through the minors so as to squeeze all the value out of him before he needed more surgery.
  13. Yes, the Yankees will be subsidizing Manfred's salary (along with every other team).
  14. Jed Lowrie hits the DL, giving me four injured regulars Thankfully it's my Boxy week. I'd be screwed if I were facing a rival lol
  15. Baseball's supposed to be the timeless sport though. I feel like an actual clock would make everyone antsy. I think they should limit timeouts instead to one per PA. The pitcher can't leave the mound and the hitter the batters box more than once per PA.
  16. That's not even semantics... time zones are factual entities and you simply don't understand the consequences of daylight savings time. The rules are written with a specific time zone specified yet a different one is actually used. ------ Anyway, get back to arguing with Moogy.
  17. Eh? I only have problems with poorly written rules. Not into arguing stuff like what "shut down" means.
  18. lol I was going through the comments of recent Fangraphs posts (as BTS warned us not to) and I came across this gem about how the Orioles outperform expectations: The Orioles know who's going to get hot and that's who they play!
  19. 150 seasons is a good sample. What are you trying to say? The article satisfied what it set out to do. Lots of people on here believe in clutch and they'll be enlightened.
  20. He's the random utility guy the Indians got for Asdrubal Cabrera.
  21. Yeah you're right. Probably 26-14 then. The games rival teams play against each other should somewhat neutralize chance of multiple teams going streaking too.
  22. "3 games down with 40 to play" isn't exactly a great position to be in. The Jays need a great stretch run, let's be clear about that. They need to go something like 23-17 to have a chance. They must to be better than the Yankees, markedly better than the Tigers/Royals and Mariners, and not much worse than the Indians. It's a tight window.
  23. Yeah there's no room for moral victories. This year is the Blue Jays' big shot and it looks like they'll blow it.
  24. I was worried about Darvish's neck/back issues when I traded him initially but this is something new. Lee was just a bad acquisition by Dinger IMO. CatsAss was right to sell him and was lucky to find a buyer. Tyler Skaggs is just such a shame. I've always been high on him and he had no prior injury history.
