I think he's tied with Kyle Crick as the most traded prospect. You've owned Glasnow, Crick, and Ryan Zimmerman, who I believe is the most traded Major Leaguer. This trade seems fair, although I like it more for BTS just because he's getting the established Major Leaguer.

I like Sammy's side. He'll get a very good prospect at #5; this isn't Hill for Rodon. If Sammy decides to sell off pieces midseason, I bet similar or better returns for Hill will be available.

To be honest, hating on the Yankees for spending is getting old and I've gotten bored of doing it. Jays fans have been doing it for more than a decade, pointing to it as the big excuse for their team's poor results. It's time the pointing takes a 180° turn. In the last two years, every other team in the AL East has made the playoffs. With a similar payroll to the Blue Jays' current level, the Red Sox have won three World Series in 11 years and the Rays are a perennial powerhouse. The Yankees payroll is not crippling to the rest of the division. Rather, the Blue Jays incompetence is crippling to themselves.

I've already cleared out my excess (other than Grant Green, offer up!) so am fine with either date. I may be unavailable on the 16th so would make my cuts a few days prior.

Jaysfan2014, Maxx Tissenbaum turns 23 in a few months. He is NOT 21. And I don't even think he's a prospect. It will be a much more inconsequential deal that it seems IMO. Boxberger and Torres have put up decent MLB numbers but I doubt either is a true set-up man or closer long term. The other prospects all have big questions or limited ceilings. Forsythe could be a useful utility piece, which is nice, but nothing to get worked up over from the Padres end. Who are you saying 'No kidding' to?

Daisuke was good in his first two years... if Tanaka had two good years and then fell on his face, the Yankees would still be better off for signing him because their payroll logjam clears up in two years. Plus, the Blue Jays will be out of their 'window' by then so it won't even matter. This move makes New York much, much better for 2014 and thus greatly decreases our chance of making the playoffs. That's the bottom line.
