  1. He was hacked!
  2. lol I saw that post as progress! GP seems willing to accept that mohyou may be improving.
  3. The annoying thing that goes along with Amaro's stupidity is his overvaluing of his own players. It's hard to rip him off because of it. I'm sure he's asking the moon for Hamels and Lee. The ineptitude instead shows up in free agent signings and contract extensions... things that other teams can't really take advantage of.
  4. Well that just happened. I like Gsnarls' impartiality. You break the rules, yer outta there!
  5. No. Niese's contract is way too good. I'd take him over Butler straight-up.
  6. As long as mohyou stops conversing with clomero (or whoever that guy is now) and Howard Roark I don't mind him. He's doing really well in the FAP Contest too - ninth place.
  7. Exactly, people need to cut him some slack. He isn't that clueless when it comes to baseball.
  8. I bet this is posturing from the M's to get someone to sign.
  9. Exactly. I'm not going to believe anything on Tanaka until they announce their decision officially.
  10. One of twenty players all-time in the 20-20-.420 club!
  11. You don't hire Scott Boras if you care about more than money. He's said to want an eighth year, this is probably that.
  12. Yep it does. But there's other luck not included, like sequencing (which creates clutchness). If people want a perfectly correlated version of WAR that includes all context possible, then they can use WPA.
  13. Oh alright, Harper because he's young and sexy. He has some sneaky speed too, there's potential there for a seven-category contributor down the road.
  14. Which team is this you speak of? Obviously, WAR is never going to be perfectly correlated to wins. That's an unrealistic expectation... luck will always play a massive role in baseball games.
  15. I bet McCutchen goes #2. He seems to have passed Harper and Stanton in keeper value. I don't really see that for Salazar (unless JFaS goes nuts). In DDL we had established aces and young #2 starters going in the third -- Moore, Gonzalez, Darvish, Lee, Sale, Weaver. I don't think Salazar is close to that class yet. I see him more as a sixth round type of asset. It will certainly be fun to evaluate our DDL teams based off of their draft. I'm excited to see what goes down in the BBDL.
  16. I like Zachary Levine's creativity: "Mike Trout to the Giants. The Giants give South Bay territorial rights to the Athletics. The Athletics forfeit their 19 matchups to the Angels." But there's no way the Angels do it. If you say they're expected to go 8-11 in those matchups with Trout, then you're only talking about 11 extra wins. Trout and his 10 WAR would nearly close that gap next season, let alone his four remaining years of control.
  17. Not healthier or better. Salazar has a long history of breaking down and I'm not ready to say he's better based off 10 career starts even if they were tipstastic.
  18. There aren't any ads and the board is free... how exactly is he making money on this? I guess he could be selling our personal information to dangerous criminals. That would be scary.
  19. http://pcd.dreamhosters.com/fringe_average/121613FRINGEAVERAGE.mp3 They talk about the Jays mid-way through. I'll never get tired of listening to Parks hype guys up. His style is really something.
  20. I dunno, you've been drawing attention your gym-attending feats for quite a while. It's not us making a big deal of it (okay, other than mohyou). I expect most of us are regular people who visit the gym regularly... we're only interested in your practices because you act like some big tough guy lol. That said, I enjoy your schtick.
  21. Wouldn't it? Curveballs don't curve in Coors, so I'd expect curveball pitchers to put up worse K-rates there than anywhere else. The same thing is true about other environments to a lesser degree.
  22. It was 'Xtranormal,' but they seem to not exist anymore. There may be other sites like it, Google 'Xtranormal replacements.'
  23. Yep, 5/75 seems accurate.
  24. Hey, I sent you a Proboards PM. Davidson wasn't mentioned, but he could be involved if you want.
