  1. So these are the connected DDL trades to date. For optimal viewing, use a full window: http://i.imgur.com/MLcFeha.png There are quite a few players who lead back to themselves, sometimes after as many as 15 trades. The first team listed in a trade arrow is the team that gave up the players whose lines point to the trade arrow. The second team listed gave up the players who the trade arrow lines point to. If you are going to complete a trade today, it will very likely fit into this map somehow. To avoid it you have to be very careful to only trade and receive native players/picks... and then you and your trade partners must never trade those players again. http://i.imgur.com/MLcFeha.png
  2. This flowchart is getting much bigger than I thought lol. Just about every trade can be traced to Zimmerman.
  3. So I'm making the flowchart. It's going to be crazy.
  4. I will after work. You can do a lot with the picks. Somehow Dinger ended up with the #83 pick that I sent to Boxy, and drafted Mike Foltynewicz, who is now with jays_fever.
  5. This contract was a little excessive IMO. Freeman isn't the type of guy you can build a team around. Decent but not great. In recent years the % of revenue devoted to the players has decreased, it's well below 50% (which is what other sports strive for) if I remember correctly. So it's not like owners are actually dishing out obscene amounts, it just seems like that on the surface.
  6. JFaS, do you have a link to download game data (stuff like seasonal stats)? I used to use Baseball Databank but it seems they stopped updating in 2011.
  7. Spanky - Beer Concessions Manager Fatcow - Mascot Dylan - Videoboard Operator Olerud363 - PA Announcer
  8. Kalfus - American League MVP & five-tool 10 WAR centrefielder
  9. What a good 'ole Canadian boy. Know which side his bread is buttered.
  10. That's a 5 win player if his defense remains excellent! I'd be ecstatic. I need to come up with my own projections lol. Seems like it'd be a lot of fun to play around with.
  11. There are only 15 teams in each league... And you can only say that so many times. The Blue Jays have not committed a number of free agent dollars proportionate to their available funds.
  12. Yep. The teams have to take more responsibility in this. I'd require that half of the money lost by the suspended player is donated to the team charity, and none of it is deducted from the luxury tax calculation.
  13. MLB.TV is now purchasable http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/subscriptions/index.jsp?product=mlbtv&affiliateId=MLBEDITORIAL#full_game_archive
  14. Keith Law has him as the 37th best FA, writing: "Yoon wasn't the same after the 2013 World Baseball Classic, returning to KBO late in the spring and eventually landing in the bullpen when he couldn't regain his stuff as a starter. Prior to 2013, Yoon would work in the 90-92 mph range in the rotation with a full assortment of off-speed pitches, including an above-average or better changeup. In 2013, he dropped to 87-90 mph and had to rely even more on his secondary stuff, only getting his velocity back in relief work. His fastball is true and up in the zone, so it's more likely he ends up in relief here than in a rotation, but I'd at least give him a chance to show he can miss enough bats with the changeup and slider to end up a fourth or fifth fourth starter."
  15. I feel like something big is going down tonight...
  16. This is the only the second time! Two. Do you know how many closers are being cut?
  17. I'm taking three relievers and two prospects!
  18. Gentry's a pretty empty fantasy guy. He's a speed-oriented player but doesn't rack up a premium steals totals and won't play everyday. I probably would've kept Viciedo... but it wouldn't make much of a difference either way.
  19. Dave Cameron thinks PECOTA is useless because it disagrees with his Nelson Cruz hatefest lol. Cruz has crossed from overrated to underrated this offseason. He's not a perfect player, but he is an average regular with a chance to be more than that.
  20. Butler was the obvious one; he's been brought up a few times on here as a top 5 waiver pick guy. There's another prospect out there who is fringe top 100.
  21. Nah.. It's not actually that much work. And people would get angry.
  22. You get all the prospects by sorting by inverse 'Rank.' Only about ~150 total, not as much as I thought. Five or so of those are unowned, in AA+ and are interesting.
