    And that's all it should have cost. He would still be disliked. You go from a 2.xx ERA to 4.xx ERA you're going to have people dislike you. I haven't been a fan from day one, but there was a lot of bad luck today. The two HBP sucked, but a lot of crappy hit balls in the right places.

    I disagree. There are quite a few 'journeymen' that are 21,22,23 in the lower levels and pitching well, and that's about their limit.

    I know, like I said getting a little too excited and small sample size but it's pretty exciting to see how he develops. His numbers last year were pretty good too, just had issues with walks.

    Hutch is a fairly close comparable. I was never a fan of Norris, felt he was always over rated here. Be intersting to see what he turns into.

    Not even close. SRF Age 20. A+ - 43IP 24H 9BB 54SO .77WHIP SYND Age 20. A+ - 63IP 61H 16BB 64SO 1.21WHIP Synd finished the year in AA, be interesting to see what happens with SRF. Look at the movement on his pitches: That's two years ago. Most his negative stats coming from the one outing. Remove that outing and he has a 0.72ERA in six starts and under 5H/9IP 11.6K/9IP.

    Alright. Great bounce back after last start. Don't want to get too excited and it's a small sample size, but we haven't had many pitchers come through putting up numbers like that.

    Missed SRF's start from a few days ago, damn, got destroyed. Hopefully bounces back. King did you have any details from that game?

    Hate to say it, Red Sox have a pretty good team, and stocked farm. I could see them winning another World Series within the next few years. Ortiz leaving is a big loss though.

    I'm not saying he will fall off, but chances go up every year (obviously). I'd rather not go into a season paying him a bunch of money and 30 games in we're scrambling for a replacement.

    Dickey has been pretty consistent, but his age is going to catch up to him very soon, maybe not next year, but there's a good chance it will. He's going to be 42 this year. I'll take the odds of him pitching poorly next year rather than signing him and hoping he can continue doing what he's been doing.

    That's what I was thinking. Imagine he could do that every pitch. Inside outside inside. Would probably be impossible to tell your body it's not going to hit you.
