Seems a little premature to be taking victory laps after one good game but the only real downside to the trade is that we have to watch Brendon Little pitch more games.

Exactly the same thing was happening in reverse when the usual crowd of suspects were losing their collective minds after a single tough game.

True almost like there's some kind of middle ground where we wait more than 10 at bats before taking victory laps or declaring that he should be DFA'd immediately.  🤣

It was a good trade man the guy's a super utility guy and has won a SS in his young career. The Teo trade keeps on giving.

I'm guessing you mean that Smith won a silver slugger award? I like this trade as well as an upside play as he's been a solid performer in prior seasons.

He has a .410 career minor league on base percentage. 

His minor league and major league stats are very comparable to Jose Bautista through the same age.

There is only one Jose Bautista.  So not saying he is going to start winning homerun titles.   Not even saying he will be anything.  Just that if you were looking for late 20s guys who could break out, this is the profile,
