Worst part is Kirk could be gone for a month to 6 weeks. He’s probably more valuable than Vladdy given the replacements at C. That’s a massive loss for a team scuffling already.

.284 xBA for us and .230 for them. Somehow they got 11 hits and we only got 7.

Not really that worried about a 4-3 start, even with the s***** teams we've played. The bats will come alive.

What really sucks is losing Ponce and now Kirk. That's gonna hurt.

I think people are vastly overrating him based on a good ST. It’s tough to come up and contribute as a rookie catcher. The demands of the pitching staff alone is a ton of work then you add in trying to hit MLB pitching. Even a best case scenario from him is a huge downgrade on Kirk.

He's a good defensive catcher and that's all you should expect. Anything he contributes offensively is a bonus.

And that’s why the Kirk loss is so bad because he was a 115wRC+ kind of bat. Now you have a dead spot at the bottom of the order with a team that already isn’t hitting well.
