Wait, you're right. 

All 3 teams at 3-1 would be 1-1 vs each other. USA currently at 17 runs against. Mexico 7. Italy 4. Wouldn't Mexico just have to beat Italy and give up less than 10 runs?

Tie breaker rules:

If at the end of pool play in Round One of the Tournament, teams within a pool are tied with an identical winning percentage, the tie shall be broken in the following order of priority:

So as things currently stand, if Mexico beats Italy and gives up fewer than 6 runs while scoring fewer than 10, USA would be out?

Yesterday when there was a potential 3 way tie between Korea, Taiwan and Australia, someone made this grid for potential tie breaker by fans in Taiwan. 

Green is Australia advancing,

Red Korea.
