Wait, I'm watching my son while watching the game. I thought Varsho was called out on strikes on that bad call, but it was only strike 2. Why was Bo off the bag?

Because it looked for an eternity that it was a walk.

Seems like whenever the Jays are in the post season we see things that normally never happen. The ball that hit Choo's bat on a return throw to the pitcher. The 0.1 inch fair ball that turns a double play with the bases loaded. And now this bizarre play. Just to name a few.

Very very late call strike by the ump but Bo has to own that.

It was a clear ball 4 six inches above the zone that the ump decided to call a strike

Umps f'ing up balls and strikes is part of the game. It's the insanely slow visual signal that deceived Bo

Yeah I get that, but a runner shouldn't assume anything. Bad calls by umps happen all the time. Bichette just walking to 2nd assuming it was the ball was not the right move. The umpire is ass, but Bo needs to take some blame there as well.

A strike call THAT bad should never be acceptable

To be fair - Varsho started moving towards first base too - then he stopped, looked back and then flipped his bat and started towards first a second time.  I do generally agree, but the ball was at his f*cking eyes too

I kinda agree, but Bo AND Varsho both acted as if it was a ball and a walk. Ump should’ve called time.
