I just say that removing Barger in RF for Straw,  is no a huge upgrade defensively.  The only time this worth, is when you remove guys in LF like Schneider or Santander.  So basically,  Straw usefulness is mostly  as pinch runner and replace outfielders who are bad defensively in the last innings.

Looked like Kirk tweaked something in his AB. Your point still holds water of course as Heiney already had his helmet in hand, several brain cramp moves in this game.

This was a gut punch. It's just a game but feeling devastated. I hope Springer is ok. The amount of character it's going to take for these guys to bounce back and win tomorrow is off the charts. Let's see if they have it in them. Gotta believe!!

It was just premature. I don’t understand pinch running when he’s on first. If he’s on second then okay but at that point it really didn’t serve any purpose

watching the recording, I had a bad feeling that absolutely inexcusable mistake Bo made on the basepaths would come back to hurt them and it sure did.  Yeah, it was a s***** call but that was a little league mistake from Bo.

I know the team doesn’t have a lot of relievers it trusts but how in the world do you defend bring Seranthony in to face Shohei?

That and the ikf send to third on that weird single. Both plays required absolutely perfect throws and unfortunately they made them…the real questionable call was the Barger out for straw that early. Aside from that I kind of understood the rest as s***** as the outcomes were. 
feel like we battled the dodgers, the umps and hell even the baseball gods last night/this morning and still took em to 18 innings

Was saying the same thing while I was watching the game. Didn't get that move.

Barger up at that plate in that situation would have been better than Straw. Jays completely gutted their lineup for extra innings. Was painful watching some of these guys get multiple AB's in extras. 

Obviously the Springer injury and if Kirk was injured afterwards, it's understandable.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing. Doubt it happens though.

As cool of a game that was, dragged on for way too long and pretty much each team exhausted and was running on fumes. Both players and pitchers. I think they should change the extra inning rule in the Postseason for games that are not are a Game 5 or Game 7. For a game in the middle of a series, should have been over by the 11th or 12th inning. 

If it was Game 3 of the WC, or Game 5 of the ALDS or Game 7 of the ALCS or WS, let them play. In the middle of the series, wouldn't mind them considering bringing on the extra inning rule with a runner starting on second.

Hope Springer can come back for today, or at least at some point this series, but doesn't look good. If Springer is a no go, likely need to IL him and add Loperfido to the roster. 

Looks like Bo will move to DH regardless, with IKF starting at 2B. 

Hopefully Kirk is good to go as well for today's game.

Vlad isn't given an opportunity to hit in that scenario. If they don't send Schneider there are runners and second and third and they walk Vladdy with an open base and pitch to IKF 100% of  the time. In hindsight it was the right call to send Schneider with 2 outs to try and score that run. It took 2 perfect throws to get him out.

Man, that was a frustrating loss. I really annoyed on how Schneider handled this team. It’s basically just a bunch of 3rd stringer left on the team because of his idiocy.
