Down to 3 and the lead up to 3 today would ease a lot of minds. The boys are squeezing the bats pretty tight the last 4 games. It's time to loosen up. Maybe they should have a shot of that champagne BEFORE the game.🤔 Gen.Disarray and Stangstag 1 1
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2025 Posted September 21, 2025 Here’s a little anecdote for everyone, only because i vaguely remember so i looked it up. On Sept.27 2023, the Texas Rangers had 91% chance to win the division via fangraphs projections. With 4 games remaining, they went 1-3 and lost the division, barely sneaking in as the last wildcard. They went on to win the WS that year. Baseball is crazy, so buckle up because this next week will be stressful as hell. But in the end, anything can happen. Spanky__99 and Omar 2
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2025 Posted September 21, 2025 Hopefully the offense decides to show up today. Been pretty humiliating effort. Drop 4 straight games with the division in the drivers seat. Now in absolute dog fight.

We need at least 3 more wins, 4 would be preferable. Easily doable, just need to play within themselves. Jaysman 1

The only silver lining is that the pitching staff has been performing admirably in September which was the biggest concern heading into the playoffs. Spanky__99 and Stangstag 2

We need to win the division Pushing what narrative? The Blue Jays need to clinch a playoff spot first before worrying about the division. If they fail to clinch the division it's not like it's game over as they can still advance through the wild card round.

There’s pretty much 0 chance they don’t clinch a playoff spot, so its stupid to count down a clinch. Especially when we are in a great spot to still win the division. idk just seems stupid to me Wake n bake, Jays24 and Barrelsandbombs 3

I think the team is a little too tightly wound at the moment and a champagne celebration could be just the thing to loosen them up a bit for the final home stand. Perfect Game and Stangstag 2

Just laying out all the clinch scenarios seems stupid to me. Win today and clinch, simple as that. Then win a few more. Shouldn’t be sitting cheering for a Detroit loss when our own team is on a 4 game losing streak. Jays24 1

HomeRunHomer Verified Member Posted September 21, 2025 Posted September 21, 2025 The Jays need to start winning some games. Having home field in the playoffs is huge because the Jays suck on the road.

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted September 21, 2025 Posted September 21, 2025 Like it they lose today but "clinch a playoff spot" because of other teams losses I am not the least bit happy about it. Especially if the Yankees win their game. Win some fn games right now BatFlip 1

Don't mess with his narrative that Jonn is the hardest worker in the room and if only the Jays would try harder like him they would be 162-0. *Checks notes*. I believe Jonn is not currently playing in the major leagues. Spanky__99 1
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2025 Posted September 21, 2025 Honestly so lucky that the last 2 series are at home this year. Imagine if they had to go on a big road trip to end the year… team would be toast lol BatFlip 1

Jaysman Verified Member Posted September 21, 2025 Posted September 21, 2025 Right, time to end this slump, offense clearly has to wake up again. We’ve generally had the pitching (Scherzer start aside) so let’s score some runs for our 22yo rookie!
