Lol That guy got them into the WS. These guys still haven’t learned that the playoffs are not the same as 162

Horses Fart Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2025 Posted August 30, 2025 Oh well, try to get them tomorrow. That’s a good team that they got over there for sure.

One of the best pitching development organizations. And then gave them way more money than most blue jays gms have ever got for zero pitching in ten years. Its not difficult. Hire from tampa. LA did it. Milwaukee did it. The guy who put in all the processes that paid off in Boston is from Tampa. He will do the same in St Louis. They have been given so much rope for barely acceptable return given the payroll. There is just so much captive media in Canada, barely anyone points out how much they suck. This is a good idea. Hire from Tampa. Hiring from Cleveland is proving to be useless. if we miss the playoffs do Shapiro and Atkins get sent packing?

Somethings is off with his stuff this year. Yea, i was more talking about today. His fastball feels very hittable. I know that's not scientific but that's what it feels like.

Doubleplay21 Verified Member Posted August 30, 2025 Posted August 30, 2025 Schneider should give the closer role to Varland because he said Varland had the best stuff of all the relievers

We're the Brewer's equal in terms of starting pitching, defense, and hitting. The bullpen is what makes all of the difference. Horses Fart 1
Jaysman Verified Member Posted August 30, 2025 Posted August 30, 2025 Bullpen is an issue but no offence so far, need to take your chances in tight games and we didn’t, and Brewers made us pay.
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2025 Posted August 30, 2025 Bieber was good. Gausman was great. Two consecutive losses. Okay, Max..........you're up next. Spanky__99 1

BB17 Verified Member Posted August 30, 2025 Posted August 30, 2025 People are forgetting the Brewers are a fantastic team. Sure the Blue Jays have played badly but the Brewers have the best record in Baseball for a reason and are a better team than Toronto. If you have salvage tomorrow losing 2/3 isn't the absolute worst. Stangstag 1

I'd fire them if we don't win the division but i would have fired them 5/6 years in and still no pitching development. Like, with our payroll, there are front offices out there who could develop some pitching, and win the division 2 times in a decade, plus 3/4 wild cards. That's a reasonable expectation. The yankees and tampa have significantly better front offices than us. I personally think Boston is too. Alot of that is what Bloom did. I think Baltimore clearly is as well.

Perhaps he steps up and surprises everyone. He has the velo and stuff just doesn't have the control.

It's inexcusable to play so poorly.
Doubleplay21 Verified Member Posted August 30, 2025 Posted August 30, 2025 Not to be negative but I see the bullpen blowing every lead now for the rest of the season. The bullpen will continue to be the worst in all baseball. neverbeenhere 1

Hopefully its just a timing issue and he can get going again soon. On the bright side the Starting pitching has been fantastic. It was a horrible loss no doubt but it is only 2 games. Red sox lost yesterday and are losing today against the Pirates, how do you think their fans feel? max silver 1

Buster Verified Member Posted August 30, 2025 Posted August 30, 2025 what happened to starters finishing games? A tired, 7th inning Gausman is probably better than a fresh anyone in the bullpen.

I want to stay positive, but among our division rivals, the Jays have the hardest schedule remaining. Even an easy schedule we have is the Orioles and the Rays, which we know the Jays will struggle to beat.
