Sucks not seeing Vladdy out there.  I know its precautionary but it means that his injury is a little more serious than we thought.

Curious to see if the Jays go with Berrios twice through the order and then go with Lauer afterwards. Might not be the worst idea to try to maximize Jose's performance while giving Lauer length appearances out of the pen to keep him somewhat stretched out.

Wouldn't be a bad idea, I thought they'd let him finish it out last night when it was 5-1. Would still work today where they can use him after Berrios, use him next Wednesday with Nance and company to help shoulder the load against the Twins. Offday Thursday and use Bieber/Berrios and Gausman against the Brew Crew.

Yea, they would have backdated him on the IL on Thursday or Friday. I think it's just best to make sure he's 100% and not rush him.  He plays harder than a lot of people give him credit for.

Lauer has been announced as Wednesday's starter so if he pitches today I doubt it would be to provide very much length.

Im still one of the few believers left in Berrios.  He has to be better no doubt but the defense has been letting him down in many of his past starts.

My other prediction: Jays will beat the Marlins today and tonight are going to be partying hard down at South Beach.

Tomorrow's game will be a write off.

Perhaps... my guess is it's one of those "if this was the playoffs he'd still be DHing" kind of thing and they're just being ultra cautious
