Yes. At this point I'd just put him on the IL and call up Loperfido to get another bat on the bench. You don't want to mess with the hamstring. Getting him back 100% is more important, even if it means missing some games in late August.

I watched a quick interview clip with John Schneider and it sounds like Vlad is doing much better and could be available in tonight's game. At worst he made it sound as if Vlad should be able to return over the weekend.
