I think if Schneider brought in Schultz when he brought Green in, even if the same thing happened (HR), most people would have been fine with it. But you can't bring Green into games in those situations anymore. He's very bad, and a guaranteed HR allowed. Bring him in to start the inning or don't bring him in at all.

Not take out the pitcher when hes pitching well - Fisher

Trust Fluharty to get out of his mess since hes been MUCH BETTER than Green all year.

If you have to remove Fluharty because you have a medical condition to bring in new relievers always then pick anyone than your WORST GUY

Yeah you cant be bringing in 5-6 pitchers a night. If a guy is pitching well with under 10 pitches just let him face a few more batters.

The more guys you bring in.. the higher the chances one of them is going to not have their stuff that night.

The rotation certainly is weak but JS also hasn’t done himself a lot of favours with some of his moves. Both can be true.

Don't think youre understanding peoples concern of overusing the pen.  Its the needless pitching changes that we're all whining about.  I gave up a few clear examples...

Okay, so JS brought Green into the game and everyone but JS knew what was going to happen.  Then when the six run lead is established he pulls him out.  Question is: what is John Schneider saving Chad Green for? Make it make sense.

I think Atkins is telling the manager how to manage prior to the games. There is quite a bit of evidence over the years to support this.

Both are true to a point. Both Berrios and Bassitt are top 20 in MLB in IP, and if Gausman had the same # of starts he likely would be too.

He probably has gone to Green too much in higher leverage situations.

Aside from that. The overuse of the pen is largely due to the lack of a 4 and 5 SP.

Anyways, Hoffman should be in the game to work on his game more than Yair here...
