Personally I prefer loading the bases with no one out, then scoring one run on a double play followed by a first pitch popup to end the inning.

Yup.  If Berrios can limit them to 2 or 3 solo shots while our lineup puts up 11 to 13 singles.... I'd say we have a decent shot in this one.

The Athletics have some interesting young players that I'm intrigued to watch. I just hope they don't shine while they're in town. They were playing some pretty good baseball to start the season and then fell off a cliff. Hopefully we're not the cure for all the ails them.

As small a sample as it is, this guy's splits are terrible against LHB's? There's no sense in sitting both Barger and Varsho, no bueno amigo. The ISO will be sorely missed. 😥

I'm looking at his career, I don't see a distinct advantage for right-handed hitters or lefties.

I'm puzzled, yesterday was Bo aaaaand Kirk out of the lineup, now tonight it's Barger aaaaaand Varsho, unless they have way more information than we're privy to. There's really no need to take those guys ISO and SLG out of the lineup when we've scuffling to score runs. Meh...

Bo was dealing with some discomfort, and Kirk they just have to be careful because he's going to face the biggest workload of his career this year. Tonight's lineup is just overthinking.
