Waylanderz Verified Member Posted April 27, 2025 Posted April 27, 2025 They really did let Gausman die out there.
Waylanderz Verified Member Posted April 27, 2025 Posted April 27, 2025 Kirk or Walker should have been out there long ago. Jays24 1
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2025 Posted April 27, 2025 44 pitches in the inning, I'm not sure how you leave him out there. Injury risk has to be getting up there a little. Spanky99 1
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2025 Posted April 27, 2025 Just now, Jays24 said: Schneider... Also Schneider: Heaven forbid the starting pitcher goes over 90 pitches. HomeRunHomer and Jays24 2
leaffie Verified Member Posted April 27, 2025 Posted April 27, 2025 This is on Schneider. Who leaves a struggling pitcher out there for so long. This was so predictable.

gruber9292 Verified Member Posted April 27, 2025 Posted April 27, 2025 Over 50 pitches in one inning is insane

Monumentally stupid decision leaving Gausman in, literally waited and watched until the game was out of reach. It was getting more and more predictable with every pitch.
Jaysman Verified Member Posted April 27, 2025 Posted April 27, 2025 We had the opportunity to do the same with Fried, who had no idea where it was going then the Yankees schooled us in what to do with base loaded and an erratic pitcher.

Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2025 Posted April 27, 2025 I wonder who is going to come up for depth in game 2? They can probably get someone from Buffalo here in time, so you have to figure someone will be. Milacki maybe?

Just bad decisions all around. Adding a bat instead of an extra pitcher for a double headers is simply poor planning. this is on them
leaffie Verified Member Posted April 27, 2025 Posted April 27, 2025 If you were watching Mattingly during that debacle, numerous times he had his head down , then he would say something to Schneider and another walk and head down and still nothing. schneider has done this on more than one occasion. He either pulls them too early or leaves them til game is out of reach.

gruber9292 Verified Member Posted April 27, 2025 Posted April 27, 2025 Time to bat Springer third and Santander clean up.
gruber9292 Verified Member Posted April 27, 2025 Posted April 27, 2025 Why did Straw quit so early on that ball? I think he could have caught that.

Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2025 Posted April 27, 2025 As suspected, we'll be lucky to go 2-4 on this 6 game road trip...
Masterbather Verified Member Posted April 27, 2025 Posted April 27, 2025 Well the good news is we don't have to account for getting three outs in the ninth inning.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted April 27, 2025 Posted April 27, 2025 Burning another pitcher here seems kind of silly. Surely a position player is going to handle the 8th?

Surely a position player is going to handle the 8th? I've been calling for the right the forfeit games for years but instead we have to deal with silly s*** like pitching position players or burning an arm for no reason.
