Oh wow Bassitt gave it up

It wasnt that bad. THe errors were costly but, most of the hits given up were flares and dinks...the pen got lit the f*** up though. Not surprising given the arms in it at this point.

Bassitt's errant throw was uncharacteristic and Clement just tried to do too much rather than taking the sure out.

I think Ernie rushes his damn throws too much at times. Nearly all of the errors I've seen him make at third base are a direct result of rushing his throws instead of setting his feet and getting more on the throw. He tends to bounce a lot of throws in this nature.

Problem there is he didn't need to try for the DP, should have just picked it up and went to third to take the out instead of trying for a rushed DP

Ryan Yarbrough has to be the greatest pitcher of all time. Every time I've seen him in my life whether against us or for us he's the most unhittable man I've ever seen. I don't know what his advanced numbers are and I don't really give a f***. I want this guy around until his arm falls off. Which probably won't be anytime soon because he throws freaking 87 mph.

Gotta admit, he's the free agent that I would have high on the list.

In April/May I coundn't have fathomed a lineup with

No Springer

No Bichette

No Varsho

No Jansen

No Kirk

No Turner

But here we are....

And yet this lineup seems to score more

Lower back tightness for Gausman

Phew

Anything but the arm/shoulder/elbow at this point in season is likely no biggie at all

He might as well just be done for the season

Just shut Gausman down at this point. No sense letting him pitch again. Bloss hasn’t been good in AAA but might as well give him a start or two in Gausman’s place.

Yes. There's nothing to be gained by 1-2 more starts. Just risk.
