Well at least Wagner looks like he can handle the bat, funny thing is Loperfido had better numbers (OPS) than Wagner in the PCL

Our left handed hitters have been PATHETIC since Delgado left.

Adam Lind leads the franchise in WAR since 2005 (1st year without Delgado) for a left-handed hitter with 6.9 WAR. Overbay, Biggio, Rasmus and Varsho round out the top 5.

Eric Sogard with just 73 games is 8th and Reese McGuire is 9th. Embarrassing.

When was the last time we actually had a lefty bopper?

Justin Smoak? Michael Saunders? I guess Belt counts. Colby Rasmus??

This front office has been abysmal at addressing the LHH weakness

Schneider's first AB coming into the game for Loperfido, works a 3-1 count, next pitch 6 inches high called strike, following pitch 6 inches low called strike, f*** umpires. Burr got rocked coming in for Gausman, dude's pitched pretty well lately, but every once in a while he gets rocked.

Nice to see Espy get an ovation from the crowd, good kid.

What do you mean "this"? LHH weakness spans multiple GM's - 3 at least.

Oh the luxury of growing up watching McGriff, Delgaldo and Green, along with switch hitters in Devo, Alomar, Tony, etc. provide that nice balance. It's been like 2 decades since we had star level lefties in the lineup on a consistent basis. Smoak had a couple of good years under Atkins and Lind had good years back in 2009 and 2013.

Carlos Delgado

As a kid growing up, Delgado was one of my favourites. Class act player here! Sucks he was never able to sniff the Postseason with the Jays.

Yup.

Smoak had that one really good year in 2017. Adam Lind in 2009 and 2013. Michael Saunders in 2016 was solid.

It has been a hole on this org for way too long, sad. Don't forget Olerud.

Willy Wagner looks like he's going to stick.

It's only 20 AB's.

We need to temper expectations here please.

When a player or pitcher on the Jays suck, the excuse is that it's still early and that its too small of a sample size. When a player over 20 AB's or a pitcher after 3 starts perform very well, they're already crowned at locks at a position or mid-rotation starters for 2025.

I love guys like Loperfido, Schneider and Wagner, but they better not be anywhere near the starting lineup in 2025 if this team plans to compete. As bench/depth guys, definitely love having them around.

The only Buffalo guys I would want in the starting lineup next season is Horwitz at 2B and possibly Clement at 3B.

Springer dinger, chicken dinner.

If Springer can just be a .250, 20-25 HR, 80 RBI, 110 wRC+ and 3 WAR kinda guy in 2025, I would be happy.
