Eat My Shatkins Verified Member Posted June 8, 2024 Posted June 8, 2024 Gausman going CG today. Would be nice to keep the BP fresh with I assume Francis starting tomorrow?
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted June 8, 2024 Posted June 8, 2024 Would be nice to keep the BP fresh with I assume Francis starting tomorrow? Chad Green kept the pen fresh yesterday.

Fighting_Yeti Verified Member Posted June 8, 2024 Posted June 8, 2024 Glad to see Gausman get a complete game.
hanton Old-Timey Member Posted June 8, 2024 Author Posted June 8, 2024 well called by the A's broadcasters

harvey16 Verified Member Posted June 8, 2024 Posted June 8, 2024 What a gem by Gausman! Much needed as well considering tomorrow will likely be a bullpen game. Let's win this series tomorrow, we have a tough stretch upcoming. If we can keep our heads above water this month and somehow finish above .500 we have some hope. 85 wins could be enough to snag a WC spot. Definitely not out of reach.
Eat My Shatkins Verified Member Posted June 8, 2024 Posted June 8, 2024 1 pitch from the bullpen in this series so far haha
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted June 8, 2024 Posted June 8, 2024 That's Gausman's second career complete game and first career shutout. WTF? Haha wouldn't have thought that.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted June 8, 2024 Posted June 8, 2024 First complete game shut out of Gausman's career at age 33. Actually only his second complete game ever. Impressive stuff.
max silver Old-Timey Member Posted June 9, 2024 Posted June 9, 2024 He could really stand to get the splitter going at some point. To my eyes that's been the primary factor holding him back this season as he's largely gotten by with well placed fastballs in most of his better starts. Looks like I got my wish this time as Gausman induced 14 whiffs with the splitter today.
Eat My Shatkins Verified Member Posted June 9, 2024 Posted June 9, 2024 vs. the A's in two games Jays starters, 210 pitches, 1 run given up Jays bullpen, 1 pitch, 1 run given up
