Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 Excellent ABs from Springer onwards. Long ABs, good swings. Bradish is getting tired and the stuff is visibly suffering. Definitely making Bradish work, nice to see.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 Vlad and Bo being dangerous again definitely changes the dynamic of the lineup, especially now that they've conceded that DS is a starter, and Jansen is getting the bulk of the catching time.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 Almost seems like Bradish used up all his bullets in the first inning. From the second onwards they've been fouling stuff off and making him work, no longer hitting 97 or 98. He only hit 96 once or twice total that inning.
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 Did we just see Springer/Vlad/Bo combine for runs in the same inning? Might be a first for the season lol

Yeah was sitting 94 and the hitters were getting a good read on most pitches Bradish right now is a bit like Gausman this year. The injury has messed with his velo in tiny ways.
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 KK was pointing that Varsho had the ball just so Bo wouldn't collide into him recklessly lol
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 We're pretty spoiled from a pitching defense POV having both Berrios and Kikuchi. Phenomenal athletes on and off the mound.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 Convinced DS' walk in his first PA was the catalyst in this game. Bradish was flashing plus stuff until that point until Babe decided to just foul s*** off and not swing at the borderline pitches. Bradish has been rattled ever since.
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 Will Vogelbach swing the bat today? Stay tuned
The_DH Verified Member Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 I see Vogel setting up at the plate and I think of Chris Farley doing "fat guy, little coat" thing.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 Cavan Biggio with tears in his eyes watching that KK at bat.
Delgalladay Verified Member Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 All these strike outs looking with RISP are quite annoying. You think they'd be aggressive trying to drive in runs.
BTS Community Moderator Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 This team sure looks better when Bo and Vlad are actually doing their jobs
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 A ball that Bo should have had but what else is new.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 The Orioles using their top relief arm in a relatively low leverage spot in the 5th is an odd choice. Yeah there's something to be said to keeping the top of the lineup at bay, but then you're forced to throw out worse pitchers in potentially more important spots later on. Seems like it's trying to be too smart and actually making a dumn move as a result.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 Ugh Vlad, just let him get the easy stolen base
RotatorCuff Verified Member Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 Ugh Vlad just let him get the easy stolen base that at bat did not go well
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 What the f***, they called interference and won't let him move on?
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 Is the rule that Varsho has to continue going to 3B in order to be awarded the base? The ump clearly pointed to 3B for Varsho but changed his call once Varsho ran back to 2B
Laika Community Moderator Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 wtf is the argument there? he has to run to third and get thrown out for the interference to count?
hanton Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 I think he should get 3rd on that but it was close since he was preparing to take the throw at 2nd then continuing back to his position...

Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 That's a stupid rule if this is how it's enforced. Varsho shouldn't risk the ump changing his mind and getting thrown out like an idiot for him to be awarded the base.
