My reworking of a Tolkien poem for you BJMB members:

 

Where now are the pitching and the defense? Where is the home run ball that was leaving the yard?

Where is the helm and the hauberk, and Bo's bright hair flowing?

Where is the barrel on the bat, and the exit velocity going?

They have passed like rain on the mountain, like a wind in the meadow;

The days have gone down in the West behind the hills into shadow.

 

edit: I thought of this because the guy who played King Theoden in the movies (Bernard Hill) died recently. He recited something like this in movie. So a bit of a homage to him. RIP.

Went on MLB app to check the final score and laughed when I saw the Jays "highlight". It doesn't get much sadder than this folks.
