Omar Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2024 Posted April 19, 2024 San Diego Padres open a 3-game series at Petco Park Friday. First pitch is scheduled for 9:40 p.m. ET. The Padres are returning home after 2 straight road series. They went 4-2 in those games, losing their last outing 1-0 to the Milwaukee Brewers Wednesday. San Diego is 5-5 straight up at home and 11-10 on the run line this season. The Blue Jays had their 4-game winning streak snapped in a 6-4 series-finale loss to the New York Yankees Wednesday. They have won 4 of their last 5 and 6 of their last 9. Toronto is 10-9 on the run line this season.

jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2024 Posted April 19, 2024 Looking really forward to seeing what Y-Rod does in his second start. Would be something if he could be a solid mid-rotation starter for them!
hanton Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2024 Posted April 19, 2024 We generally don't do well against pitchers like Waldron
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2024 Author Posted April 19, 2024 Hopefully YRod gets it done. Padres have been scoring like 6 runs a game the last little while and we're 3-6 on the road.
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted April 20, 2024 Posted April 20, 2024 Springer sitting after a day off? Assume he's gonna be dealing with something or else that's just dumb.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 20, 2024 Posted April 20, 2024 Day off for springer or ? Looks that way, no reports otherwise. Nope, he's sick...
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted April 20, 2024 Posted April 20, 2024 Springer sitting after a day off? Assume he's gonna be dealing with something or else that's just dumb. We’ve seen it before where the front office does offday + rest day back to back. I bet this is just a scheduled rest day for him. Or he had a rough flight who knows

Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted April 20, 2024 Posted April 20, 2024 This seems like a perfect game for Waldron or we score 10 runs
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted April 20, 2024 Posted April 20, 2024 Jays Central just had a great spot on Davis Schneider. Didn't know he lost his older brother a couple years ago. I'm not crying, you're crying. That kid is a gem, no matter how his career turns out.

hanton Old-Timey Member Posted April 20, 2024 Posted April 20, 2024 Those Padres uniforms are something else. I think those are the city jerseys
HomeRunHomer Verified Member Posted April 20, 2024 Posted April 20, 2024 Turner deep over the centerfield wall!!!
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted April 20, 2024 Author Posted April 20, 2024 Uniforms with five or more colours should be outlawed.
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted April 20, 2024 Posted April 20, 2024 Varsho can really be a fan faourite if he can stay decent with the bat
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted April 20, 2024 Posted April 20, 2024 Varsho is truly an elite OF defender. Almost every game he seems to make a play with low catch probability. JT just rolls along...HR.
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted April 20, 2024 Posted April 20, 2024 Varsho can really be a fan faourite if he can stay decent with the bat He has a lot of Tools. Hope he finds his swing.
hanton Old-Timey Member Posted April 20, 2024 Posted April 20, 2024 that ball went further than Turner's home run, 411 vs 404ft
