Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2024 Author Posted April 5, 2024 Excuse me double play, take it all day.
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2024 Posted April 5, 2024 I would like to order one new hitting coach please. Vlad can't possibly be this bad. Yes he can. Vlad is the biggest loser in franchise history. He's ready to go for the home run derby though!
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2024 Posted April 5, 2024 Somebody tell Vladdy that he's had food stuck in his beard from last inning.
Laika Community Moderator Posted April 5, 2024 Posted April 5, 2024 I wonder if anyone has checked Vlad's eyesight. He's not even close It really looks like he is just a guess hitter at this point  He is seeing NOTHING
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2024 Posted April 5, 2024 Nah. He has a similar career trajectory to Miguel Sano Sano was always a high risk profile with his extreme K rate, it just eventually caught up to him. Vlad just legitimately has awful baseball IQ or something, he has no plan and his pitch recognition is probably not as good as anyone thought it would be.
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2024 Posted April 5, 2024 We're like 6 status quo weeks away from debating the merits of non-tendering him in November. He needs to be better than 2023 to warrant a ~25M salary next year There's little doubt in my mind that he's gone this year or in the offseason. Can't justify paying him $25M and I think the probability of him turning this around is <5%
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2024 Posted April 5, 2024 lol @ Gleyber Torres shaking his head at a pitch down the middle, the Yankees are so annoying.
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2024 Posted April 5, 2024 #thatsthejoke I am picking up what you're putting down...
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2024 Posted April 5, 2024 Gutsy performance from Kikuchi. The command wasn't all there but the stuff is just too good.
Laika Community Moderator Posted April 5, 2024 Posted April 5, 2024 Kikuchi shoves, his stuff is so good

Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2024 Posted April 5, 2024 Big season for Kikuchi. You know he wants to get paid this off-season.
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2024 Posted April 5, 2024 Kikuchi shoves, his stuff is so good wonder what we can get for him this year...maybe a hitter?
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2024 Posted April 5, 2024 Gutsy performance from Kikuchi. The command wasn't all there but the stuff is just too good. That's the great feature of Kikuchi, the stuff is so good that even average to below average command and it still works. On days where he has plus command its not even fair. That doesn't happen very often though.
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2024 Posted April 5, 2024 How does Bo go from being a .300 hitter to a .130 hitter so quickly? Donny Baseball is ruining this team.
43211234 Verified Member Posted April 5, 2024 Posted April 5, 2024 HR for Vladimir next time he's up. Book it!
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2024 Posted April 5, 2024 Turner got the ligma from Bo and Vlad, it's over.
BTS Community Moderator Posted April 5, 2024 Posted April 5, 2024 They're not picking up the slider all. That's a half dozen or so bad swings from righties on sliders way outside.

That's a half dozen or so bad swings from righties on sliders way outside. In their/Stroman's defense, he's definitely tunneling it beautifully with the comeback sinker. They start out in the same spot but one runs back to nick the corner and the other goes completely away from the zone.

Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2024 Posted April 5, 2024 Typical 2023 Jays. 0-0 game in the 6th This s*** is fun for nobody
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2024 Posted April 5, 2024 Can he get Soto and Judge one more time? Definitely not and I wouldn't want him to lol.

Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2024 Posted April 5, 2024 He gets Soto for sure. Good. Rare good decision by Scheneider

Painting the outside edge with the fastball and consistently sitting a few inches below the zone with the sinker because he's getting the calls.
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2024 Posted April 5, 2024 He gets Soto for sure. Good. Rare good decision by Scheneider Even a broken clock is right twice a day.
