3/4 would be nice but a split is fine too. They have 7 games against Seattle still so neither of those teams should be able to make up enough ground to push us out of a playoff spot.

 

I am slightly worried about the 12 games against NY and Tampa to end the season though… both teams are playing well right now.

 

And just as im typing this, I see Jasson Doninguez is out for the rest of the season. Lucky break for us

If the Rays are out of the division race and cruising to WC 1 they could take their foot off the gas in theory but Cash doesn't usually let that happen.

 

Yankees are completely out of it but playing for jobs and pride and are still a bit dangerous

Blue Jays just need to go 10-9 to win 90 games. That's pretty conservative. However if they lose that series to the Rangers the season is most likely over. Losing 3/4 it would require either Seattle or Houston to also falter during that strech but it seems unlikely. Splitting with Texas at the minimum is paramount. Winning that series pretty much ends their season as well. That 2 game swing would just be extremely tough to make up. Sweeping either way ends the other teams Season for sure.
