JaysAllMighty Old-Timey Member Posted September 6, 2023 Posted September 6, 2023 That was one terrible decision by Vlad that paid off. He's done that before and it backfired on him
hanton Old-Timey Member Posted September 6, 2023 Posted September 6, 2023 Most base stealers go first move on a lefty. It's fine early in a ballgame, force the issue. Yea that's true
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted September 6, 2023 Posted September 6, 2023 I'm not convinced - will see how he fairs over time There’s not really much to argue. He’s been pretty bad at stealing bases in his career but has consistently provided solid baserunning value added since he’s aggressive and generally makes good decisions in taking the extra bag.
jaysthebest Verified Member Posted September 6, 2023 Posted September 6, 2023 This is why we need to score more than a run against Sears.
hanton Old-Timey Member Posted September 6, 2023 Posted September 6, 2023 There’s more than enough of a sample size to show he’s a great base runner… minus steals. He’s probably one of those guys that has good speed just takes him a while to get up to full sprint. Some guys are faster getting from 0 to 100 I think his speed alone will make him at least a good base runner - but an great one? I don't know about that he'd have to swipe 30 bags and he doesn't get on base enough for that
glory Old-Timey Member Posted September 6, 2023 Posted September 6, 2023 I hate that a 2-1 deficit feels a lot bigger than it should be even against a s*** team.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted September 6, 2023 Posted September 6, 2023 That was too close to overturn IMO?
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted September 6, 2023 Posted September 6, 2023 That was too close to overturn IMO? nah, first replay angle showed his foot down before the ball got there. Ball took a sideways spin hop on Clement though, unlucky.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 6, 2023 Posted September 6, 2023 Vladdy trying to flash the glove, looked like an idiot Easy man...
JaysAllMighty Old-Timey Member Posted September 6, 2023 Posted September 6, 2023 Easy man... didn't you see him on the ground holding his glove up like he caught it? He just gets on my nerves sometimes, that's all.

I think that makes sense
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted September 6, 2023 Posted September 6, 2023 Something I just noticed... i get that pete walker would cover his mouth while on the mound during a meeting, but the interpreter doing it is kinda funny. LIke, even if there was someone who could read lips in English on the A's bench, I sure doubt there's one who can lip read Korean.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 6, 2023 Posted September 6, 2023 LETS GO BLUE JAYS *CLAP, CLAP* *CLAP, CLAP, CLAP* LETS GO BLUE JAYS *CLAP, CLAP* *CLAP, CLAP, CLAP* LETS GO BLUE JAYS *CLAP, CLAP* *CLAP, CLAP, CLAP*
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted September 6, 2023 Posted September 6, 2023 Vlad has a noodle bat now
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted September 6, 2023 Posted September 6, 2023 didn't you see him on the ground holding his clove up like he caught it? He just gets on my nerves sometimes, that's all. Of all the things Vlad does to annoy you, that is one of them? That's bordering on psychosis.

John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted September 6, 2023 Posted September 6, 2023 Thats a HR in 12/30 parks. 358 feet.
JaysAllMighty Old-Timey Member Posted September 6, 2023 Posted September 6, 2023 Of all the things Vlad does to annoy you, that is one of them? That's bordering on psychosis. oh f*** off
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 6, 2023 Posted September 6, 2023 He hit it well, just under it slightly.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted September 6, 2023 Posted September 6, 2023 one pitch type the buffalo guys have been struggling with is that changeup. I doubt they see many quality changeups in AAA
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 6, 2023 Posted September 6, 2023 didn't you see him on the ground holding his glove up like he caught it? He just gets on my nerves sometimes, that's all. He likely wasn't sure, that's reactionary. No big deal.
BlueBaller Verified Member Posted September 6, 2023 Posted September 6, 2023 Let's go boys! Clap clap clap!
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted September 6, 2023 Posted September 6, 2023 oh f*** off Quick to anger. Another element of psychosis.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted September 6, 2023 Posted September 6, 2023 JP Sears is a lefty with a 5.23 FIP this year. I predict 7 scoreless innings from him today. Vlad will groundout every time. So Predictable
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 6, 2023 Posted September 6, 2023 The bats are poo, so far since that 2nd. We need a jump start here next inning.
hanton Old-Timey Member Posted September 6, 2023 Posted September 6, 2023 Kirk would get some of those for Ryu
JaysAllMighty Old-Timey Member Posted September 6, 2023 Posted September 6, 2023 Quick to anger. Another element of psychosis. you're an idiot, analyze this *******
