Not sure if Kirk is getting heavier, but they should have traded him last year when his value was at its highest. Teams figured him out.

 

I think Vlad is adjusting to not being the center of attention on the team with Lourdes and Teoscar gone and not constantly feeding his ego while he holds court at the end of the dugout. I don't know, but something is off with him this year.

He swings at everything is his main problem. And he tries to let the ball travel. With how late he is so often it spells approach for me. He’s looking big part of the field instead of hammering balls to the pull side.
