We are facing a lefty today so it looks like Cavan Biggio was moved down to 7th today.

I'm just glad he's no longer platooning.

I don't care what the numbers say (.499 OPS vs LHP this year, .697 in his career). If he's good enough to hit cleanup against righties then he's good enough to remain in the lineup against lefties.

He’s everything you’d want in an everyday player. Great clubhouse guy, great attitude, hustles hard every play, can steal a base every now and then, and he takes his walks when needed.

And he has great facial hair

Exactly. If you ignore the numbers he's an outstanding ballplayer.

lol.... Term... da fuq?

Also, this is false...

For years I've tried telling you all how badly this guy sucks. And year after year he'd prove me right with his soft exit velos and garbage K rates while barely breaking the Mendoza line.

You were all over Craig sons's dick when he came up.

Yeah and once they deadened the ball I saw right through his charade, pal.

So last year in June to now. Gotcha. ;)

That was funny though, I got a good laugh in.

Did they really deaden the ball that much? Not as many homers as 2019 obviously but these things go up and down. Atlanta is hitting 300 homers this year. Judge, Olson, Ohtani all challenging 60. Even the failed prospect Vladimir Guerrero Jr. apparently hit 48 in 2021 (the year the ball first changed I think).

Special update in WAR (fWAR) standing among some players.

Davis Schneider 0.6

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. 0.5

Cavan Biggio 0.2

Spencer Horwitz 0.0

This does nothing but confirm the legendary status of Spanky. When a guy creates a burner account just to flame you, you know you've made it.

I know he put up an 0-fer tonight but I’m really glad the team is sticking with Cavan Biggio. Dude has been on a tear since May and we can’t get sidetracked with guys like Babe Schneider. Biggio and his .650 OPS is just too valuable.

Just need to hang on to him until robo umps get here. The breakout is inevitable

Is there a player in the league that gets f***ed by umps more than Biggio? (not literally of course...that's none of my business)

I agree tonight. You have to give him a chance to spark this lineup.

Historically…Aaron Judge gets a ton of bad calls against him below the knees

Brandon Belt is likely close.

Ok you guys I have to tell ya, being a Cavan Biggio supporter is HARD.

How have you fellow fanboys been able to support him so much and for so long?

I’m about a week in and feel like giving up already.

His batting average is approaching the Mendoza line again you guys. He also apparently doesn't know where to bunt the ball.

I know we Cavan Fans like to use arbitrary start points, but can we also use arbitrary end points too?

So for example, "from May 1 to August 15th he slashed x/x/x" and then we just ignore the 2+ years prior to that and then ignore the 2 weeks since?

Just trying to gauge what works and what doesn't. I've never simped for a player this bad before. Thanks.

A Sportsnet puff piece which relies heavily on the "his father is a HoFer" narrative? Really good stuff here. We don't even need arbitrary start dates with links like this.

I knew you'd like it, bro. You're welcome.
