keggy Verified Member Posted August 2, 2023 Posted August 2, 2023 Man did Schneider really intentionally walk Hays to get to Henderson? I don’t know what the splits say, maybe the stats say it makes sense, but that looks kinda foolish. Bringing in Cabrera to face 5 consecutive right handed batters was a strange move to me.
Carlos Danger Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2023 Posted August 2, 2023 I don't understand the decision to put Hays on (who is speedy as f***) to pitch to Gunnar who already hit a HR against a LHP.. That opened the flood gates and put the game out of reach.... Not like you are facing Ohtaini in Hays??
JaysFan4Ever Verified Member Posted August 2, 2023 Posted August 2, 2023 Well, easy decison who goes down when Greene is ready
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2023 Posted August 2, 2023 Along with the BoSox. A sweep dream is turning into a split nightmare at best if we can’t pull this out. Fugly.

Gunnar is a far superior hitter regardless lefty/righty and already had had a HR off a lefty
metafour Verified Member Posted August 2, 2023 Posted August 2, 2023 Clement gets in the game and immediately doubles. They need to bring up the AAA mashers and send half the useless f***s on the roster to the moon.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2023 Posted August 2, 2023 Why Hicks tonight just use a position player. The f***.
tossingthiscoin Verified Member Posted August 2, 2023 Posted August 2, 2023 There was a pipe dream that this team would take the division title a few days ago and that makes me laugh at this point.

I’d honestly rather watch the young guys hit then continue having to watch Varsho, Biggio, Espinal, and a few others.
hanton Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2023 Posted August 2, 2023 Hicks now and you don't use him when it was 3 - 4
Carlos Danger Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2023 Posted August 2, 2023 Just to point out that Boston will be getting Story, Whitlock, and Hauck back soon believe..
keggy Verified Member Posted August 2, 2023 Posted August 2, 2023 To me Clement deserves a look before Davis Schneider.
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2023 Posted August 2, 2023 Is it time to panic? Nah. This is one series. The O's seem to have our number but a lot of baseball yet to come. Bo...hurt Vlad....underperforming since May Springer in the mother of all funks Manoah/Ryu in shambles. Shits got to get better.
tossingthiscoin Verified Member Posted August 2, 2023 Posted August 2, 2023 Espinal should've been optioned or DFA'd when he made a basic defensive mistake in the series against the Dodgers, but our FO disregarded and he made another silly mistake.

The long track record shows him to be a replacement level hitter at 1st base. We need to give Horwitz a shot and put Fatty to the moon.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2023 Posted August 2, 2023 Using Hicks tonight so that when they need him tomorrow and Thursday, his arm will be fully accustomed to John Schneider’s workload.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2023 Posted August 2, 2023 Well, easy decison who goes down when Greene is ready Yeah, I wouldn't doubt he gets optioned tomorrow.
JFD Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2023 Posted August 2, 2023 Why Hicks tonight just use a position player. The f***. I wanted to see Hicks but not like this...
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2023 Posted August 2, 2023 Is it time to panic? What say you? Panic, bro... nah.
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2023 Posted August 2, 2023 Using Hicks tonight so that when they need him tomorrow and Thursday, his arm will be fully accustomed to John Schneider’s workload. What's the thinking here? Just tuning him up? Still two games to go in this series. We may need a closer tomorrow and the next day.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2023 Posted August 2, 2023 Clement gets in the game and immediately doubles. They need to bring up the AAA mashers and send half the useless f***s on the roster to the moon. Agreed. The O’s didn’t have to trade anyone to accommodate prospects and they do a great job spreading the playing time around. We are seeing the same boring s*** night after night with the same guys. At the minimum, Schneider (the prospect, not fat boy in the dugout) needs to be called up.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2023 Posted August 2, 2023 Just to point out that Boston will be getting Story, Whitlock, and Hauck back soon believe.. *shits pants*
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2023 Posted August 2, 2023 Jays getting ass pounded by the AL East is do disheartening. I want so badly to get excited about this team. But every time they get a chance to make some noise in the division they get bent over. Offence isn’t there. Pitching disappears.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2023 Posted August 2, 2023 What's the thinking here? Just tuning him up? Still two games to go in this series. We may need a closer tomorrow and the next day. Schneider is horrendous with bullpen usage. It’s mind boggling. I wouldn’t try to find logic here.
keggy Verified Member Posted August 2, 2023 Posted August 2, 2023 What's the thinking here? Just tuning him up? Still two games to go in this series. We may need a closer tomorrow and the next day. We only have leverage guys left and Hicks hasn't pitched in like 2 weeks
tossingthiscoin Verified Member Posted August 2, 2023 Posted August 2, 2023 There are large sample sizes to argue we suck with risp. I don't believe this is luck anymore. They are constantly playing badly with risp.
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2023 Posted August 2, 2023 Makes perfect sense with 0 days off in the near future that we use Hicks. This management team is hilarious. Time to get your packing bags ready Mr Atkins lol.
