Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2023 Posted July 30, 2023 Well there it is. The option has vested. 6 million middle reliever. Lets hope he can get us out of this.
tossingthiscoin Verified Member Posted July 30, 2023 Posted July 30, 2023 I knew this would happen. Using Garcia 3 days in a row was a terrible idea.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2023 Posted July 30, 2023 That ball wasn't even hit that hard. Renfroe is just so f***ing strong.
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2023 Posted July 30, 2023 So remember when some people were "bitching"bout using Garcia pointlessly yesterday? Well there you have it, using a guy 3 days in a row. This management staff are full retards man lol.
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2023 Posted July 30, 2023 Yimi pitching with a 5 run lead yesterday and today in extras. Oh well...
glory Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2023 Posted July 30, 2023 Thankfully they used Garcia yesterday when they needed him so he can come in for the 3rd game in a row today.
Steeljays Verified Member Posted July 30, 2023 Posted July 30, 2023 Terrible decision to pitch to him. Especially with 1B open. This guy kills them
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2023 Posted July 30, 2023 So remember when some people were bitching about using Garcia pointlessly yesterday? Well there you have it, using a guy 3 days in a row... I wouldn't call it "bitching" more critiquing. Pearson should have finished that 6-1 game with only 8 pitches used.

Well there you have it, using a guy 3 days in a row... He's hitting 98 with the fastball. The guy just made a s*** pitch. He's not "tired". He's not an elite reliever who doesn't throw bad pitches.
BlueBaller Verified Member Posted July 30, 2023 Posted July 30, 2023 Our coach is such a moron but his job is secure. Sucks
tossingthiscoin Verified Member Posted July 30, 2023 Posted July 30, 2023 I remember some of the guys on this board said that using Yimi yesterday in a pointless game was not a bad decision...

He's not an elite reliever who doesn't throw bad pitches. He gives up way to much contact for me to view him as a late inning reliever. Bad luck on BABIP or not. It's a lot of balls put into play. His K/Rate is actually pretty good. But he's rarely consistent outing to outing.

He's not an elite reliever who doesn't throw bad pitches. There's a reason why it's so rare to have bullpen guys pitch 3 games in a row. If it were no issue then we'd be seeing it happen more regularly. Regardless, this doesn't help Garcia be more effective and as a manager, it's your job to put your players in the best position to succeed.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2023 Posted July 30, 2023 I would have stayed hard with Renfroe. He just so strong I would have not took the chance of him timing up a breaking ball. Honestly don't think he turns around 98 MPH.
metafour Verified Member Posted July 30, 2023 Posted July 30, 2023 I remember some of the guys on this board said that using Yimi yesterday in a pointless game was not a bad decision... These is such strawman logic LOL. He didn't give up as HR because he pitched yesterday. He looks 100% rested - as proven by his velocity. You'd have some sort of point if his velocity was down, but it's actually UP. What's the conclusion here, that he wouldn't have hung a crap breaking ball if he didn't pitch yesterday?
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2023 Posted July 30, 2023 I remember some of the guys on this board said that using Yimi yesterday in a pointless game was not a bad decision... Some guys on here are flat out Homers who get all defensive if you "question" any decisions the team makes lol.

He came out firing 97-98 the entire inning. So he's clearly not "fatigued". He just made a s*** pitch. And if you've seen him pitch at all, this isn't exactly a rare occurance.
hanton Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2023 Posted July 30, 2023 At this time of the season it's all hands on deck, gotta be ready - and I assume Garcia was in the available category today. No issue using him 3 in a row especially sinde he didn't throw that many in gm1/gm2
Carlos Danger Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2023 Posted July 30, 2023 Move the runners over at least Springer!
tossingthiscoin Verified Member Posted July 30, 2023 Posted July 30, 2023 Wow George... He should've bunt.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2023 Posted July 30, 2023 THAT BALL WAS IN Your f***ed up. ********
