Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2023 Posted April 18, 2023 Good sign for Belt turning around high velocity.
M.E. Verified Member Posted April 18, 2023 Posted April 18, 2023 He’s not the reason the Jays win or lose. I am ready to option Biggio out of here. It’s been years now of pretty much nothing. Why does he keep getting this extensive look that others would never get. The name on the back of the jersey had to stop mattering in this situation.
WryNGinger Verified Member Posted April 18, 2023 Posted April 18, 2023 What's that now 7 or 8 games giving up more than 8 runs...just can't stop the bleeding when a pitcher starts to get lit up so far. Not a lot of options or options on the pitching staff. Is it only Pop that can be sent down?

max silver Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2023 Posted April 18, 2023 There's a legit shot Pop might get optioned after this game. Despite being arguably the best reliever on the roster so far this season. Wait I could swear I remember you saying that Pop was 100% useless something like a week ago. Now he's arguably the team's best relieve a week later. Holy s*** you certainly change your tune in a hurry.
Jays333 Verified Member Posted April 18, 2023 Posted April 18, 2023 I wonder if Bass is mad nobody was sent to help him clean up the inning sooner?
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2023 Posted April 18, 2023 Astros social media trolling good tonight haha!
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2023 Posted April 18, 2023 Let's hope Bassitt has a really good start tomorrow and Berrios can build off his last successful start for Game 3.
Solaxys Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2023 Posted April 18, 2023 Let's hope Bassitt has a really good start tomorrow and Berrios can build off his last successful start for Game 3. Berrios still had a lot of hard hit balls acc. savant, but he kept the walks to 0 and got a lot of Ks. I feel like Yordan/Tucker might be an issue for him, but the others, he'll probably feast short of getting BABIP'd to death.

That doesn’t mean it’s going to continue. 3. He’s changing his approach. He’s throwing his slider more. He’s effectively getting more swing and miss and results are improving thus far. Im definitely allowed to change my stance with his performance doing a 180. I also don’t cheer against players that wear the Blue Jays uniform because that would be stupid. If you think I have been cheering against him since I posted that comment you’re an idiot.

It's good you've come to your senses but that doesn't change the fact your earlier opinion of Pop was completely undeserved. At worst he's a power sinker version of David Phelps as a guy who keeps you close in games in low leverage spots. Since he was acquired he has shown glimpses of the raw tools that could allow a much higher ceiling if he comes up with a more effective slider.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2023 Posted April 18, 2023 Lol nice spin How’s your boy Jay Jackson doing?? That was a good depth singing.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2023 Posted April 18, 2023 (edited) Lol nice spin How’s your boy Jay Jackson doing?? Hardly a spin when he went from striking out nobody to more than strikeout per inning lol. He’s had dramatically different results from his career numbers. Jay Jackson had a bad outing otherwise hes got a ton of swing and miss. Edited April 18, 2023 by Jonn
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2023 Posted April 18, 2023 Good night for the ump. Not surprising as i think Hoberg is pretty much known as the best balls/strikes ump in the game right now.

John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2023 Posted April 18, 2023 Nice to see a good one And even his misses were very close except one Actually looked him up on the ump scorecard site, he is the #1 ump for accuracy since 2020 at 95.1% Also the only ump to have a 100% perfect accuracy game in that time frame.
