Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted March 9, 2023 Posted March 9, 2023 A few major league teams will throw out worse lineups than both of those this year. We've got some enviable depth.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 9, 2023 Posted March 9, 2023 Dinger for Cavan, he almost had an oppo in the 1st.
Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted March 9, 2023 Posted March 9, 2023 Dinger for Cavan, he almost had an oppo in the 1st. He's been really good this spring. I'm expecting a big season out of him.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 9, 2023 Posted March 9, 2023 Casey Lawrence had his tits lit in the other game.

Captain_Obvious Verified Member Posted March 9, 2023 Posted March 9, 2023 I really hope these baserunning outs are just the team experimenting in ST. Even if it is, it is getting tiring because the experimenting has been a total failure so far. It seems the team is surrendering an average of 3 baserunning outs per game.

Guys work on s*** during the spring every season.

Merrifield got CS at 3rd base (2nd time this spring at least). Bo got picked off at 2nd base. What exactly is the team learning here? Do they really intend on being aggressive when on 2nd? That's just retarded. Stealing 3rd is one of the dumbest moves in baseball.

It's not stupid if you do it at a 92% clip, even before considering the expanded bases.

They really do work on this s*** during the spring, timing the pitcher, leads, working with the clock, there's so many variables.
