Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted January 19, 2023 Posted January 19, 2023 One of my favs growing up. I had his glove for years. I'm going to enjoy seeing him again in a few days
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted January 19, 2023 Posted January 19, 2023 Adam Lind in 2009 looked legit. What happened afterwards? Injuries, struggles against LHP, never made adjustments. Him and Aaron Hill both had monster years in 2009.

Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted January 19, 2023 Posted January 19, 2023 All I remember about him is that stupid dance he did and his ridiculously hot wife. Well the Latin one he apparently remarried.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted January 19, 2023 Posted January 19, 2023 Can't wait to get to 12 NO doubt. Who could forget Tilson Brito
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted January 19, 2023 Posted January 19, 2023 NO doubt. Who could forget Tilson Brito LOL exactly
The_DH Verified Member Posted January 20, 2023 Posted January 20, 2023 Man, some great 25's!! and remember Roy Lee Jackson as national anthem singer. And to comment on the 12's upcoming: don't forget Kenny Williams.

Pendleton Old-Timey Member Posted January 20, 2023 Author Posted January 20, 2023 When posting a picture, you want to uncheck the box that says "retrieve remote file and reference locally" because apparently that actually means "turn my photo into a thumbnail".
The_DH Verified Member Posted January 20, 2023 Posted January 20, 2023 He was part of the gas can bullpen. I was happy for the pic to be small.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted January 20, 2023 Posted January 20, 2023 And who could forget the first #25, the first hitting star of the Blue Jays, the first 2 HRs hit by a Blue Jay in team history in their 9-5 win over the White Sox in their first ever game in MLB, on April 7, 1977 Doug Ault! And by first hitting star I pretty much mean he was a star in their first ever game, and then pretty much sucked after that. He also killed himself in 2004.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted January 20, 2023 Posted January 20, 2023 A couple of my all time favs wore 25
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted January 20, 2023 Posted January 20, 2023 (edited) Delgado is easily the best hitter the Jays have ever produced internally thus far imo, time will tell if Vlad takes over that title. 1996-2008, never had a bad season and then in 2009 at 37 years old posted an OPS over .900 in his first hundred or so PAs with the mets, then ... his hip f***ed him out of the rest of his career and a shot at 500 HRs and the HOF. The_DH Verified Member Posted January 20, 2023 Posted January 20, 2023 A couple of my all time favs wore 25 Gotta agree with that: Devo was my all-time favourite in CF -- the TV didn't do him justice, watching him in person was so worth the price of admission.

Devon White's jaw dropping, robbing catches! Even the tough ones just look so effortless and smooth
The_DH Verified Member Posted January 20, 2023 Posted January 20, 2023 I just remember seeing him on TV and thinking: "that's pretty good." And then seeing him live and thinking: "How is that even possible?"
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted January 20, 2023 Posted January 20, 2023 I just remember seeing him on TV and thinking: "that's pretty good." And then seeing him live and thinking: "How is that even possible?" His legs were 6 feet long
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted January 20, 2023 Posted January 20, 2023 Devon White's jaw dropping, robbing catches! Even the tough ones just look so effortless and smooth That's the thing though, its not these 3 catches that made him a great CF, it was the 3 and 4 star plays that he made look routine and barely above routine that made him a great CF.

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted January 20, 2023 Posted January 20, 2023 That first one might be the best catch I have ever seen. Yeah The hit probability on that ball was pretty fn high LOL Robbed like sooooo robbed
