I do still hope he and Pearson figure s*** out and come back strong at some point

Would keep Nate in the pen again. Think there is still something there if he figures it out.

Yeah that’s the disappointing part. There doesn’t seem to be any urgency from him to get better so he could be part of another playoff push, and that’s after he s*** the bed in game 1 last year. I hope no one compares him to Stroman because Stro was a machine who worked hard and did everything he could to contribute. Manoah is the opposite of that.

Tough spot for the Jays because they have trouble developing starters and Manoah is their only success story in 8 years. They’d either have to sell low or hope he gets in shape during the winter, and the latter seems like wishful thinking. Maybe there’s a team desperate for pitching (Cardinals, Padres?) that might give some value rather than low ball.

I agree with him and Stroman being opposite on the field, But off the field I find they are both little bitches

I'm glad I couldn't find a Manoah jersey back in the spring when I was looking for one

LMFAO

Speaking of, I was walking by the Jays Shop and got sucked into grabbing a Bo jersey yesterday at the game.

Someone sucked you off and then you bought a Bo jersey?

Not the weirdest payment I've ever heard

don't care what players do off the field, perform between the lines, and that's what Stroman did

Agreed, as did Alek up until this season, I really hope they're not having issues, and if true, f*** that guy, bury him in Dunedin till he works on his job.

Great point gruber. As of August 1st, before Davis Schneider and all the other reinforcements came, the Jays were WAYYYYY down at 7th in MLB with a 107 wRC+.

Calm down..

Wow! Tell us more!

It is ok to have thoughts and post them. Just sayin

Spanky had an expensive weekend down in the Six! Two Blue Jays games, a Bo jersey, and a couple $18 beers. He's rolling big!

Here we are in mid September and Vlad's OPS is currently just 2 points higher than our #9 hitter Kevin Kiermaier.

Going to come down to the wire as to who comes out on top.

Manoah is a joke lol.

This season could be the last time we saw Manoah in the Blue Jays uniform based on the situation the team and he are dealing with.

His ego couldn't handle being demoted. He should have sucked it up and report instead we get all this drama while the major league team is in a race to make the post season.

Like how much of a bitch you gotta be to try to fake this injury ******** to try and weasel your way out of a demotion. What a f***ing ****. Hope he never pitches in the big leagues again. Oh you were healthy enough to pitch when you were in the big leagues and costing the team wins but the second you get demoted your too hurt to pitch? f*** off

At least Manoah has millions ($) of reasons to get his s*** together. He already cost himself millions this year by losing service time.

I would be flabbergasted if I was Atkins and Manoahs camp called me up pissed off about the demotion lol

Manoah loves to spend money as well. Wouldn't be surprised if he goes broke in the next couple of years. Last year he was renting a penthouse for almost 15k a month and on a rookie salary not exactly smart.

Where have you been? Also, how the f*** you know that?

Manoah should not be traded (unless we get a very good return) or released. He should continue to age in the minors as a Blue Jay until he is out of options. We did not draft him so that he can get fat and become a FA early.

Number 1, why the f*** has Jays media been sitting on this story for so long if they're all basically admitting they know more than the info they've already shared online?

Number 2, I'm guessing this tweet is not in reference to the story that BNS published yesterday, because it would be weird if Treuden was fact-checking BNS, someone with way more credibility/rep than him.

My guess is that this tweet is in reference to all the fans (including myself) that have been reading between the lines and inferring what's really going on under the surface (Manoah thinks he's too good to be grinding his way back to the majors on that minors salary, and wants to be on IL while he's at AAA to continue collecting major league pay and service time). I've tried to think of another possible explanation as to why Manoah could be doing this, and can't think of another one that makes more sense than this.

0 point in trading or releasing Manoah. That would be stupid.

I'm all for giving him a pass on his hissy fit and getting a chance to get into better shape and work his way back with no drama out of the spotlight. It was a stunning fall from grace, and I have empathy on how badly it would feel. But he has to suck it up. Its about how he handles it going forward that matters. I always thought it was a bad decision for the org to join in with casuals over blowing how he actually pitched, even in 2022. All the hype and opening day starter over Gausman etc. Most of us knew a lot of that shine would come off eventually with his underlying numbers. Even if we didn't see this coming.

He is a potentially very valuable asset we have to protect.
