Maldonado postgame interview pretty much admitted he stood as close to the plate as possible to try and get hit.

Really don’t like that, but whatev.

Hopefully Shatkins is realizing how big of a difference a great bullpen makes.

Lots of elements of their play factored but the dominance of the pen, when PHI's pen faltered a bit the last couple of the games, helped turn the Series.

It was obvious, but legal. He stood in the box.

Really? I loved it. Wheeler was busting them hard inside and if he kept coming so far in, he was going to get on base. He knows he can't hit. Rings at stake.

Yeah I hate it. Rizzo, Guyer, a few other guys that are notorious for doing this. Its garbage IMO. Ball can be like an inch off the plate and hit the batter. Really shouldn’t be legal

Looking at you Atkins. Build a bullpen. You can make the case The Astros Bullpen were really the MVP of these Playoffs.

Jamie Campbell just said "Justin Verlander celebrating with his daughter." I hope he wasn't referring to Kate Upton lmao.

Astros also had one of the deepest rotations in baseball, which definitely helps the bullpen over the 162 game season since most guys aren't overused and taxed.

Jays have Gausman and Manoah, and hope Berrios returns to his pre-2022 form. Add another legit starter or two, and a high K reliever, definitely will make a huge difference.

Kate Upton is like 30 now anyway lol.

Can't help myself

Family Guy - The clock's ticking on Kate Upton

LMFAO that's so bad.....

Oh no doubt having a strong rotation helps but that Bullpen is deep and talented as well. I think adding another legit Starter is at the top of the list for the Blue Jays. But adding swing and miss relievers and velocity has got to be up there as well.

I get it but thats the box. Nothing in the rules says you have to move or do any gyrations to avoid pitches coming too far inside. Moving up on the plate is a way to counter a lot of the advantages arms have in todays game.

Hazel shamelessly chasing people down LOL

She can be annoying but have to tip your cap to her ruthlessness in getting the interview. She is a beast at that. (Also that KU Family Guy clip lol).

And actually has good opening questions

Pulling Wheeler at 70 pitches. Rob Thompson will never live that down. Especially in a city like Philly.
