Inklink Old-Timey Member Posted September 17, 2022 Posted September 17, 2022 Hyde going full Showalter
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted September 17, 2022 Posted September 17, 2022 BS, I want quality baseball, not a rushed game and balls called because of a clock. that's dumb. I don’t think the pitch clock is a huge deal, the other changes though? Woof so bad.
JaysAllMighty Old-Timey Member Posted September 17, 2022 Posted September 17, 2022 If you don’t think professional athletes can’t make this adjustment I’m concerned for you. This will be funky in Spring but once they get to the Regular Season everyone will understand the rules and be ready to rock. you can shove your condescending attitude up your ass.
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted September 17, 2022 Posted September 17, 2022 That's a massive hit Tapia. Thank you.
RobinThicc Verified Member Posted September 17, 2022 Posted September 17, 2022 why the lol, of course it will and it won't be funny when it does. I lol because I think it'll happen like a handful of times at most for the season. And if the pitcher and catcher is focused, theres no reason to believe they wont have enough time.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted September 17, 2022 Posted September 17, 2022 That cameraman found a Tapia fan in a sold out Stadium. Raise please
Kordesi Verified Member Posted September 17, 2022 Posted September 17, 2022 Needed that cushion - will Berrios get another inning?
Solaxys Old-Timey Member Posted September 17, 2022 Posted September 17, 2022 Needed that cushion - will Berrios get another inning? ya prolly; won't see the order another time through though
Kordesi Verified Member Posted September 17, 2022 Posted September 17, 2022 That cameraman found a Tapia fan in a sold out Stadium. Raise please Ha ha … you are in good form today!
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 17, 2022 Posted September 17, 2022 Tapia comes up big, lol.
Solaxys Old-Timey Member Posted September 17, 2022 Posted September 17, 2022 Tapia has a penchant for almost-grand slams lol.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted September 17, 2022 Posted September 17, 2022 you can shove your condescending attitude up your ass. If you’re going to get this upset. Maybe don’t start arguments? Ultimately it’s happening. So bitching about it accomplishes nothing. You’re the one who started the back and fourth with an insult. Be more open to change. Stop looking at the negatives of everything and see what potential positives it can provide.
BuckHenry Verified Member Posted September 17, 2022 Posted September 17, 2022 Don’t like a pitch clock , don’t like the rule against the shift … so what if the game is 15 minutes faster … love every nuance of the game … for all of me the game could be longer … love every minute of it …, quit f***ing around with the grand old game.
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted September 17, 2022 Posted September 17, 2022 Great job Berrios righting the ship to get to 6 innings
Solaxys Old-Timey Member Posted September 17, 2022 Posted September 17, 2022 Great job Berrios righting the ship to get to 6 innings His ERA is once again below 5.00 for the season. ESPYYY
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted September 17, 2022 Posted September 17, 2022 I will take 6 innings from Berrios. It didn’t look like it was going to happen earlier but settled down and tossed up a quality start.
Kordesi Verified Member Posted September 17, 2022 Posted September 17, 2022 Ok taking the dog for a walk - hope to catch the end of the game by the time I come back. Good game by us so far - keeping it going boys!
glory Old-Timey Member Posted September 17, 2022 Posted September 17, 2022 Basketball didnt start with a shot clock either, but after a few years they realized they needed one to keep the action going smoothly Yeah, the NBA has changed so much in the last 20-30 years, and basketball fans don't care one bit. Seriously, watch an NBA game from 2000-05 and compare it to today. It's almost a different sport. Yet when baseball wants to do things to speed the game up or make it better, they have to feel the wrath of fans who think MLB is trying to ruin the sport. In 2001 the NBA implemented the defensive 3 second violation so someone like Shaq couldn't get sleep in the paint all game. If that happened in baseball, it would be the biggest injustice ever because it would be "unfair to limit where a player can stand" or whatever. I'm not saying people have to agree with every rule change, it's a matter of preference at the end of the day, but baseball continues to be the sport where change is next to impossible.
BuckHenry Verified Member Posted September 17, 2022 Posted September 17, 2022 Berry … coming back strong …, good for him!
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted September 17, 2022 Posted September 17, 2022 DL Hall didn't get the memo that it's IL now...

I don’t think this is fair, the sports are vastly different. How does limiting the throws to first make the game better? Baseballs biggest issue is umpiring. Everyone wants robo umps, the issue is they are making the wrong changes. Agree to disagree
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 17, 2022 Posted September 17, 2022 That was a grind, but you can't not like the results.
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted September 17, 2022 Posted September 17, 2022 I will take 6 innings from Berrios. It didn’t look like it was going to happen earlobe but settled down and tossed up a quality start. Earlobes ftw
Inklink Old-Timey Member Posted September 17, 2022 Posted September 17, 2022 2 ER for Berrios, I'll take that any day.
