connorp Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2022 Posted June 26, 2022 Yimi Garcia? He’s been fine and his salary is peanuts Hahah. I was thinking, was he on Jays?
Effit Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2022 Posted June 26, 2022 I hate everyone at this point..the coaches, the front office. Everyone. Weird how Montoyo is actually the one I hate least at this point, I feel sorry for the guy.
Horses Fart Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2022 Posted June 26, 2022 Wow Berrios rockin a 6 ERA, Das ugly as f***.
BlueJays Verified Member Posted June 26, 2022 Posted June 26, 2022 The good thing about the Jays missing the playoffs is firing Montoyo.

It's Happy Inflamed Over Reaction GDT.
BTS Community Moderator Posted June 26, 2022 Posted June 26, 2022 Who gets cut first...Ryu, Kikuchi, Berrios, the entire pen, Montoyo, Walker Ryu had TJS. He's thrown his last pitch with the Jays.
JFD Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2022 Posted June 26, 2022 The good thing about the Jays missing the playoffs is firing Montoyo. Fire Atkins
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2022 Posted June 26, 2022 Rogers thought they did something when they hired the Cleveland rejects.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2022 Posted June 26, 2022 The good thing about the Jays missing the playoffs is firing Montoyo. Fangraphs still has the Jays at 94.8% to make the playoffs. After today probably like 93ish % Definitely looks bleak right now but there’s lots of ball to play and trades to be made
Dagagad Verified Member Posted June 26, 2022 Posted June 26, 2022 The good thing about the Jays missing the playoffs is firing Montoyo. Oh yea, that will make a big difference. 7 years of ineptitude in pitching dev will be solved by firing Montoyo.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2022 Posted June 26, 2022 Ryu had TJS. He's thrown his last pitch with the Jays. Yeah the media is all hesitant to say it, but he’s likely done. Wouldn’t be surprised if he chose to go back to Korea for his final few years
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2022 Posted June 26, 2022 Ryu had TJS. He's thrown his last pitch with the Jays. I wonder if they bother with the time/effort of rehab process. I mean I guess you on the chance he comes back on 1 year deal or something

Wouldn’t be surprised if he chose to go back to Korea for his final few years Are we allowed to say this was a bad signing? Jays looked at the medicals and gave him 80 mil. Would probably have been cooked after his first year if 2020 was a full season.
BTS Community Moderator Posted June 26, 2022 Posted June 26, 2022 I wonder if they bother with the time/effort of rehab process. I mean I guess you on the chance he comes back on 1 year deal or something I think they have to, unless he just wants to call it a career and go back to Korea like Stangstag suggests

Basically the exact scenario the Dodgers were worried about played out.
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2022 Posted June 26, 2022 It’s been a disappointing stretch but the doom and gloom losers here need to chill
BlueJays Verified Member Posted June 26, 2022 Posted June 26, 2022 Oh yea, that will make a big difference. 7 years of ineptitude in pitching dev will be solved by firing Montoyo. I'm sorry. I just can't salivate at Montoyo getting fired. That will make the season better if they somehow miss the playoffs.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2022 Posted June 26, 2022 Shapiro better start to consider his own job security and replace Atkins with a competent league wide respected GM and let him do his thing and don't be so involved, except in the draft. Let the new GM construct his own coaching staff.

connorp Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2022 Posted June 26, 2022 It’s been a disappointing stretch but the doom and gloom losers here need to chill Well, I mean it’s almost the half way point and and there’s some disasters going on. At some point it’s objectively valid to start questioning some of the movies
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2022 Posted June 26, 2022 About the best news was we only had to pay him about 7 and not 20 for the short year he was great. Even in the short year he was out of gas by the playoffs. Guy's arm was held together by glue when they signed him.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2022 Posted June 26, 2022 Wow, why slide so close to the bag?
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2022 Posted June 26, 2022 Even in the short year he was out of gas by the playoffs. Guy's arm was held together by glue when they signed him. I agree if that was a full year it probably would not have ended well. As it was, he got lit up by the Rays in the 1 game WC that year.
Solaxys Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2022 Author Posted June 26, 2022 Gage & Castillo have been a revelation with all the s*** show this pitching has been elsewhere.
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2022 Posted June 26, 2022 Well, I mean it’s almost the half way point and and there’s some disasters going on. At some point it’s objectively valid to start questioning some of the movies I’m not saying not question any moves, some here are acting like it’s over, relax it’s a long season
Solaxys Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2022 Author Posted June 26, 2022 At what point do you not commit to making a deep playoff run though? As in, get into playoffs and then let Jesus take the wheel (like Braves/Nationals/w.e) rather than do everything in your power to win the WS? The way its been going, I feel we're still ways off and just need to slow the f*** down instead of burning the farm.
Dagagad Verified Member Posted June 26, 2022 Posted June 26, 2022 I listen to a ton of fantasy stuff because I play a lot of dynasty. It’s usually analytical type stuff. I NEVER hear us mentioned as a ‘smart’ pitching dev team. We aren’t mentioned as dumb (they usually don’t talk about those teams because they don’t want to burn sources) but we are never mentioned as cutting edge. I used to write that off somewhat but I’m starting to think that we are dumb on that side or at least we are just average. It’s the most important thing in baseball. It’s the thing that extends windows. If you are going to be good for a long time, it’s all pitching dev.
Arjun Nimmala Vancouver Canadians - A+ SS It's been slow going at the start of the season for Nimmala, but on Sunday, he was 3-for-5 with his 3rd home run and 3 RBI. Explore Arjun Nimmala News >
