They are only 3 games ahead of a better Jays team. And if anyone calls them by their former name that's an auto-block" That last line is funny lol
Dokken Verified Member Posted June 27, 2022 Posted June 27, 2022 (edited) That last line is funny lol Yes, funny because of the childishness of the sentiment behind it (assuming he is actually serious). ETA: OH f***: I just realized he was imagining what the ******** Wilner would say to people on Twitter (I will block you) if they called it the Cleveland Indians. This alone is enough reason to totally ignore anything that POS Wilner says on any topic! Edited June 27, 2022 by Dokken

ETA: OH f***: I just realized he was imagining what the ******** Wilner would say to people on Twitter (I will block you) if they called it the Cleveland Indians. This alone is enough reason to totally ignore anything that POS Wilner says on any topic! lol. Just today Wilner told everyone he'd block them if they called Berrios (or any other human being) garbage. I actually have no problem with the Guardians thing, especially after hearing long time broadcaster Jerry Howarth's passionate views on the subject. I find Wilner's interactions with fans pretty humorous to be honest. The relentless smug lecturing of the negative fans and left wing politics is a fun combination. Negative Fan: No chance at a playoff spot with this garbage rotation. Wilner: When Alex Manoah makes the all-star team in a month this rotation will have 5 all stars. Which is actually technically true with the cavaet that one is TJ'd and the other two have imploded, but if Manoah makes it the 5 man rotation will each have made the all star game.
JFD Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2022 Posted July 6, 2022 Jays will be out of it Canada Day July 1st the next 10 days will be terrible. Playoff teams will be Red Sox, Rays and Indians. Rays will do a 5 game sweep including a double header sweep July 2nd. The effect on revenue will be catastrophic, as between June 17th and July 3rd big crowds will be exposed to traumatic losses, and watch the team lose even their expanded playoff spot. This is a franchise changing 2 weeks. The big crowds will leave in extreme shock and dissapointment. Attendance will crater the second half and the end of the Bo/Guerrero era has happened. The good news is the attendance the next 10 years will not be enough to support 80 million contracts to the likkes of Ryu, the next iteration of the Blue Jays will have to be a low budget one. Shapiro should resign end of this year so the new management can get maximum value for Bo/Guerrero and finally do a Rays style build. Looks like your predictions were off by a week.
Olerud363 Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2022 Posted July 6, 2022 Looks like your predictions were off by a week. If Seattle sweeps and pull 2 games ahead Wilner - Jays still in playoff race. Bad couple weeks after that and Jays fall 5 behind Wilner - the 2015 and 2021 Jays were both in the same position on this date. Mid August Jays 10 back of Seattle and Cleveland. Wilner - Seems like most of you haven't watched baseball before. It's a game of streaks and there is still time for a good one.
BlueJaysFever Verified Member Posted July 6, 2022 Posted July 6, 2022 Are some of you Yankees trolls? What is thread or is it a parody and me being new not in on the joke?
Olerud363 Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2022 Posted July 6, 2022 The Yankees have the 3rd toughest schedule remaining, while the Jays have the 10th easiest. Goal should be to be within 5 games of the Yanks by the Allstar break. If we can do that I think we will be in good shape to take the division down the stretch, especially with so many games vs Baltimore in Aug/Sept. It won't be easy but definitely acheivable. I wouldn't be suprised to see both the Jays and Yankees crack the 100 win plateau. Only have to make up 10 games in 10 days to get within 5 by the all star break. Go Jays!
Olerud363 Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2022 Posted July 6, 2022 Are some of you Yankees trolls? What is thread or is it a parody and me being new not in on the joke? Can't really speak for the intentions of the thread starter... seems a good place as any to vent frustrations though...

Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2022 Posted July 7, 2022 Every time I see this thread, I consider merging it with Around Baseball... If a random Yankee fan stumbled onto the board he'd probably be amused that the Yankees are so in Jays fans heads that they have their own thread on our board.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2022 Posted July 7, 2022 If a random Yankee fan stumbled onto the board he'd probably be amused that the Yankees are so in Jays fans heads that they have their own thread on our board. Nothing about his post history suggests that the thread starter is a Jays fan.
