Siddall is banging on the "tipping pitches" drum. It honestly could just be that. The stat of Twins players only swinging at 20% of Splitters after swinging at 70% in the 1st 7 starts says it all.

He's doing something that's easy to pick up.

Yeah it was especially noticeable on that one batter he had 0-2 and threw a beautiful Splitter middle of the plate like 1-2 inches low. That’s a pitch you normally swing at.

They don’t have enough players who get on base consistently. The averages say it all. Home runs are all they do.

You are confused sir

Tough to think about trading Kirk right now. Bad body and all. Dude can hit.

We have him until he’s 28 too. He came up early. I doubt his body would fall apart that quickly .

If you don’t have runners on base, solo home runs do very little. I would rather take Minnesota’s small ball than the homerun. You have to remember, the playoffs change everything. Not as many home runs, more small ball. The team needs to have a few players who fit that mold.

I just know if I had that level of talent I would do anything I could to get into shape to maximize performance. I would love to see him go full Pudge Rodriguez

How so? Their average as a team is horrible.

They’re 13th overall for OBP and most of the guys have had rough starts. Average/offense is down around the league

This is just not true. Home runs win games. Look at any of the big world series games or WS winning teams (minus the 2015 Royals). All of the top teams are also the top homerun hitting teams.

Ok. I guess it’s pretty commical losing to a team that is missing a bunch of players. Embarrassing really.

It does suck, but its still baseball and anything can happen. Pirates swept the Dodgers earlier this week.
