BTS Community Moderator Posted June 24, 2022 Posted June 24, 2022 Really? Dead set no? Tatis is a monster man. Hopefully this little incident is a wake up call as they probably could’ve voided is contract. I think the other guys will have to be near full potential to make it worth it. I mean, I think It’s possible you make out on the 2 for one, otherwise I wouldn’t have floated it but it’s close imo I'm pretty risk averse, so having two foundational pieces instead of one appeals to me, even if Tatis projects better than both right now. Especially given that Tatis already has a concerning injury history.
BTS Community Moderator Posted June 24, 2022 Posted June 24, 2022 Also, when the f*** did Julio Rodriguez become a 30-40 steal plus defensive CF? I always had him as a monster corner OF bat who would steal 5-10 bags a year.
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2022 Posted June 24, 2022 Also, when the f*** did Julio Rodriguez become a 30-40 steal plus defensive CF? I also had him as a monster corner OF back who would steal 5-10 bags a year. He's been a workout beast for the past two years, major body change. He's now a 30-30 or 40-40 player. What Buxton would be if he wasn't made of glass.

connorp Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2022 Posted June 24, 2022 I think you mean reckless hothead that f***ed up his body Well, he plays like that too. Like Harper. As a fan, it’s great. As an fantasy asset, not so much. Imagine the people paying him $400m
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2022 Posted June 24, 2022 Wrong assumption. Actually I think what happened is JRod had a couple big games after and you got cold feet and wanted to pretend it didn’t happen. I can’t fault you for that lol

Maine Jays Verified Member Posted June 24, 2022 Posted June 24, 2022 (edited) 20 team dynasty where saves are a category but holds aren't. I'm nearing the end of my rebuild and finally thinking about RP, so all of my relievers are purely speculative (traded the three closers I'd inherited years back for draft picks). Besides Munoz, who I've held the past couple years during his TJ recovery, any of these other four guys have a future as a closer in your opinion: Burke (Texas) Puk (Oakland) Bautista (Baltimore) Lange (Detroit) Edited June 24, 2022 by Maine Jays

Bautista seems fungible to me.

Leclerc was activated off the IL and is making $5 million this season, so wouldn't shock me if the Rangers try him back in the 9th to build up his trade value. Plus if he rediscovers his old form before he was injured, he has two friendly team options for 2023 and 2024. Bautista I think could work his way to closing games in Baltimore as well. He's been very solid. Overall, can't go wrong with those three options. Both are providing solid ratios and you might get lucky with one or two of them getting consistent save chances.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2022 Posted June 24, 2022 Jay always holds onto his price. I had to give in to get Liam Hendriks off of him in another league. You mean fair value? That's all I'm looking for in any trade, I don't need to win. I believe Hendriks 5th > a 1st and McGreevy.

Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2022 Author Posted June 24, 2022 Sneaky deep streamer tonight is Mitch Keller @ TBR. He's been solid since featuring a sinker a few starts ago and the Rays are brutal vs RHP.
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2022 Posted June 24, 2022 lol... that wasn't happening, meat. He’s basically Devers in a year bro. Scary trying to float that around

Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2022 Author Posted June 26, 2022 Yeah I did use him. His FIP was good, it was really just 1 ER away from being a good start.
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2022 Posted June 26, 2022 Did the Buxton language really have to be that brutal from the FO? I mean he’s been in the lineup the days since and played CF. Little much

FantasyNewb Verified Member Posted June 27, 2022 Posted June 27, 2022 Hey, I have an offer in my points league of Lodolo and Miranda for Vinnie Pasquatino. I already have Guerrero and Torkelson at 1st but Pasquatino could fill one of the utility slots. I need another top P. Is Lodolo worth it? Vinnie should do well in this league as he has a high BB rate and a low K rate, but I'm curious of Lodolo's upside.

Pasquantino looks nice though.

Yeah, I really like Pasquatino. It's a hard call. I just traded away Rodon as a part of a package for Soto, so my pitching took a hit. Like I said I have Guerrero and Torkelson and could probably get Vaughan for the 1st base side so I think I'm trading from an area of strength to build up a weakness.

OK so now you must tell us who you gave up for Soto. Rodon and what else

He was as good at AAA last year at 23 as Pasquatino has been at 24. Classic case of prospect shone wearing off as soon as a prospect struggles in MLB. I’d definitely take him and Lodolo over Pasquatino
FantasyNewb Verified Member Posted June 27, 2022 Posted June 27, 2022 OK so now you must tell us who you gave up for Soto. Rodon and what else I actually got Rodon from this guy before the season started for a 3rd round pick. I then pick up Taylor Ward on the waiver wire and added Kelenic to the package. I actually like the players but a chance to get Soto was just too appealing. It's a points league so Soto is still one of the better players despite the down year so far. I know it's sometimes annoying posting rosters but this is where my team is at right now: C - Captain Kirk/Moreno 1st - Guerrero 2nd - Albies SS - Franco 3rd - Bregman OF - Yordan Alvarez OF - Soto OF - Seiya Suzuki/Corbin Carroll/Santander U - Torkelson/Gunnar Henderson/Franmil Reyes/Duran UI - Witt Jr/Tovar/Miranda P - Burnes P - Woodruff P - Nola P - Peralta P - Baz P - Dustin May P - Grayson Rodriguez/Springs/Mikolas/Eury Perez/Lodolo/Ranger Suarez/Jhoan Duran I can only keep 20 though so I'm going to try and upgrade a position at the end of the year with some of the players I can't protect. It's a great team on paper but I'm currently 6th in the league out of 12 teams.

Rodon and what else I almost got Soto for Taylor Ward, Kelenic, and a 3rd round pick. I offered up Rodon, and those two players and his counter was the 2 position players and a 3rd round pick. I tried to accept the trade but he had too many rostered players for it to go through. He changed his mind and wanted Rodon instead of the 3rd round pick. Still worth the upgrade IMO.
Arjun Nimmala Vancouver Canadians - A+ SS It's been slow going at the start of the season for Nimmala, but on Sunday, he was 3-for-5 with his 3rd home run and 3 RBI. Explore Arjun Nimmala News >
